Recap / The Real Ghostbusters S 2 E 33 Lights Camera Haunting

Go To

The Ghostbusters are hired as consultants for a horror movie titled Horror House. They arrive on the set, which is a house that's genuinely haunted that was chosen for authenticity, and meet three guys named Gil Hamstrung (an actor), Feeny Muscleberg (a director), and Artie Grendel (the producer). Grendel then fires the Ghostbusters, and then when the ghosts who reside in the house start wreaking havoc because they don't like the script (since the script concerns ghosts losing) he starts filming them. The Ghostbusters trap most of them, but Grendel helps three of them get away.

A month later, the Ghostbusters go to the premiere of Horror House and Grendel pays them to appear for publicity. The Ghostbusters talk to Gil and Feeny, who were also fired, and are surprised the movie was made so quickly. They then become suspicious when Gil drives the guys away for a tour of MJN Studios.

The Ghostbusters then enter MJN studios, only to be caught in a net. Grendel reveals that he hired the three ghosts to help him make movies in exchange for them making their own movie called The End of the Ghostbusters, then throws the Ghostbusters in prison. The Ghostbusters then get chased all over the set by the ghosts, who are now holding proton packs.

Gil and Feeny show up in a helicopter and try to save them, but the ghosts shoot them down and capture them. Joe, the leader of the ghosts, promises to let them go if the Ghostbusters give up, so they do, but they break their promise and tie the Ghostbusters up alongside Gil and Feeny. Ray then grabs a PKE meter from Egon and reverses it to summon the ghosts of three MJN Studios actors, who untie everyone. Then, the Ghostbusters trap the bad ghosts, Ray and Winston tie up Grendel, and the actor ghosts go off into the distance.
