Two new teachers are brought in to teach the Ninningers. They are none other than Ninja Red, Sasuke, and Hurricane Red, Yuusuke Shiina!

Milestone Celebration: Celebrates Super Sentai's 40th birthday - which was the previous week. A breaking news pre-emption of ToQger episode 46 had meant that all Ninninger episodes to this point aired a week late. - Not Quite Dead: The same Monster of the Week is back next week.
- Stock Footage: Footage of Hurricane Red's roll call seems to have been taken from when he last appeared on TV in episode 26 of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger.
- The Cameo: Akarenger! However, he's a Fake Shemp, and his voice actor isn't credited.
- Time Travel: One of the Monster of the Week's gimmicks. He goes back in time, Takaharu chases him... and he kills Takaharu! Don't worry though, he used a ninja duplication technique.
- Transformation Sequence: Specially made for this episode, Ninja Red and Hurricane Red each get a new sequence.
