After disabling the power source, the Ranger enters into the lair of Armagon. There are a few things standing in the way of the player on their path of destruction.

The episode is composed of five levels and a Secret Level: "Tur Torment", "Pandemonium", "Limbo", "The Gauntlet" and "Armagon's Lair".

This episode provides examples of:

  • Blackground: "HIPDM1: The Edge of Oblivion", a repurposed Deathmatch level set in a multi-level floating platform whose background is completely pitch-black.
  • Book Ends: When the player character reaches the final teleporter after beating Armagon, he ends up in the start level, exactly where it begins.
  • Call-Forward: The achievement for finding the Secret Level in the remastered version is called "A Long Yard".
  • Cosmetic Award: The 2021 remaster offers the following achievements for this episode:
    • Locating the secret message in "HIP3M1: Tur Torment" earns you "You're not supposed to be here!".
    • Finding the Secret Level earns you "A Long Yard".
    • Finishing the episode (and the expansion as a whole) earns you "Arma-Gone".
    • Finishing the episode in Nightmare mode earns you "Scourge Done Slick".
  • Creator Cameo: "HIP3M4: The Gauntlet" has a hidden area showcasing the logo of Hipnotic Software, the creator of the pack. Fittingly, shooting this logo triggers its rotation, further alluding to hypnosis.
  • Death Trap: "HIP3M3: Limbo" traps you between two Advancing Walls Of Doom at one point.
  • Final Boss: Unlike the original game, the pack ends in a fight with Armagon, who's a more classic boss fight against a big monster with big guns.
  • Secret Level: "HIPDM1: The Edge of Oblivion", a Deathmatch level turned into a single-player one, with loads and loads of enemies.
