Following Zayto's return, the Dino Fury Rangers go to Zordnia to stop Lord Zedd and his new associates. However, things go poorly for the group quickly.
Episode Tropes:
- An Arm and a Leg: Javi's right arm is vaporized in his efforts to unlock the Cosmic Fury Zords.
- Bittersweet Ending: More on the bitter side. While the Rangers acquired new Cosmic Fury Zords, Ollie is turned evil again, Zayto is sent to the far reaches of the galaxy with no clue where he is, Javi loses his right arm in an effort to unlock said Zords, and Lord Zedd plans on conquering Earth.
- Bloodless Carnage: Not a single drop of blood is seen when Javi loses his arm.
- Brainwashed and Crazy: Ollie gets hit with a brainwash virus again. Though unlike in "Love Hate", where the spell basically just made him into a stoic passenger in his own body, this version of Evil Ollie is much more self-aware, calculating, and cruel to his friends, especially Amelia. The Power of Love won't be enough to save him this time.
- Color-Coded for Your Convenience: Subverted for once with the Zords. Usually, Zords are primarily piloted by the Ranger of their corresponding color. Here, Billy figures out that any Ranger can remotely pilot any Zord. For example, Amelia flies the Red Lion, and Billy takes it over while she leaves to try to give Ollie an "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight.
- Continuity Nod: Zordnia is the planet the ancient Shogun Zords were in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers before Lord Zedd and company found them in 1995. Billy even comments on this to the team.
- Delayed Reaction: It takes Javi a moment to realize his arm is missing and go into shock.
- Deus Exit Machina: Due to the fact that having a group of all-powerful gods on the side of the heroes would kill dramatic tension, the Morphin Masters are swiftly captured by Bajillia.
- Dwindling Party: The roster of battle-ready Dino Fury Rangers shrinks as the episode goes on. First Ollie is brainwashed by Zedd, then Zayto is sent through a portal to who knows where, and then Javi's arm is disintegrated by an energy blast, putting him out of commission.
- Five-Second Foreshadowing: Doodrip covers all the rangers in some blue goo, explaining that it is a potion that turns Rangers evil. Izzy reacts with confusion, as she doesn't feel evil. Then Zedd yells as Doodrip, explaining that the poison was only intended for one Ranger. Cut to Ollie turning around...
- "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight: Amelia teleports into the Squidrill and demorphs, gently extending her hand to Ollie. He just stares daggers and says he doesn't love her anymore before sending his foot soldiers, the Zentinels, after her.
- The Knights Who Say "Squee!": Ollie is in awe of Billy Cranston, both as a veteran Ranger and the brilliant inventor/CEO of Cranston Tech. Amelia teases him that he's making her jealous. This marks the last of enthusiastic, happy Ollie that we will see for a while.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Amelia suggests that Ollie use the portal key to help them take some of their enemies off the battlefield. It's still in his sword when the brainwashing poison takes effect, and Ollie's first evil act is to use it to send Zayto across space. Amelia disarms him before he can do any more damage.
- The Oner: After the planet of Zordnia is shown, we are treated to a tremendous shot of all the Rangers against Lord Zedd's army with the Morphin' Masters flying around, all in a single shot.
- Re-Power: Master Red restores Mick's ability to morph into the Red Ninja Steel Ranger.
- Wham Shot: After Javi slams Master Red's staff into the altar, he's blown back. After some time, he stares at his right arm... or rather, the shredded remains of his jacket sleeve and no arm to speak of.
