Recap / OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes S 2 E 5 My Fair Carol

Go To

K.O., Enid and Rad team up to help Carol out with a special occasion.

Tropes:

  • Call-Back: It turns out there really *are* rogue performance artists everywhere in the Danger Zone, which was originally a obvious lie that Red Action told Enid back in "Back in Red Action".
  • Cordon Bleugh Chef: K.O. makes honey and olive sandwiches for Carol and Mr. Gar’s dinner. Though Carol's main objection is that he went a little overboard on the honey.
  • Cover Innocent Eyes and Ears: Enid and Rad both cover K.O.'s eyes to shield him from the sight of Carol and Mr. Gar kissing. K.O. peeks anyway, and declares that he's okay with it.
  • Date Peepers: K.O., Enid, and Rad during Carol's date with Mr. Gar, in order to make sure it goes okay. This is particularly prominent at the end, when the three of them peek at Carol and Gar kissing.
  • Feed It a Bomb: After the worm eats Rad, he detonates a literal "bath bomb" to destroy it, creating a spectacular display for Carol and Mr. Gar.
  • Funny Background Event: K.O., Rad and Enid can be seen fighting the sand worm while Carol and Mr. Gar are dancing.
  • Gale-Force Sound: When Enid turns her "mood music" up too loud, Carol has to shout so loud to be heard over it she knocks over Mr. Gar, Rad, K.O., Enid, and her DJ console.
Enid: Your mom's got pipes, K.O.
  • iSophagus: Enid throws her records at the worm. One goes into its mouth, causing soft music to play out of it.
  • Parent with New Paramour: Despite looking up to Mr. Gar and liking how it makes his mother happier, K.O. isn't sure how to feel about them dating. By the end of the episode, he decides he's okay with it.
  • Sand Worm: Robotic ones prowl the Danger Zone. K.O., Rad and Enid have to fight one off when it goes after Carol and Mr. Gar.
