Recap / OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes S 1 E 41 Villains' Night In

Go To

While Boxman and Venomous are at a party, Fink is reluctantly babysat by Darrell and Shannon.

Tropes:

  • Babysitting Episode: Darrell and Shannon babysit Fink while Boxman and Venomous are attending Billiam Milliam's party.
  • Badly Battered Babysitter: Shannon and Darrell are so sheltered and slavish that what independence Fink expresses (like watching an apparently gory video instead of Boxman's propaganda) baffles them. Later on, Fink deliberately tries to get them in trouble, and make her boss upset with Boxman, by attacking the Plaza. Shannon and Darrell end up beat to the verge of collapse by the Bodega crew getting her back. However, Venomous is impressed that they managed to tire out Fink at the same time, since she usually does the opposite.
  • Bathroom Brawl: Turbo Fink fights K.O. in the bathroom of Gar's Bodega after coming in through the toilet.
  • Blatant Lies: When Boxman and Venomous return from the party, Fink lies to Venomous saying Darrell and Shannon did a terrible job at watching her and for endangering her, despite the fact that it was her that put herself and the other robots in danger, to try to get him to sever his business relationship with Boxman. But it was all for naught because Fink tires herself out, which impresses Venomous since that never happens with her other babysitters, so Venomous isn't mad at what happened.
  • Chekhov's Gun: Back in "Villains' Night Out", Fink took one of Boxman's glorbs from his glorb processing room when he wasn't looking. She uses that glorb to activate her collar to Power-Up.
  • Even Evil Has Standards:
    • Fink is mildly disturbed by Shannon and Darrell's Blind Obedience to Boxman, despite their lack of freedom or positive attention from him, and fruitlessly encourages them to rebel.
    • Darrell and Shannon are put off by the implied to be rather gory video that Fink shows them.
  • Malicious Misnaming: Boxman refers to Fink as "Stink".
  • Synchronous Episodes: This episode goes along with "Villains' Night Out", where we see the perspective of Darrell and Shannon babysitting Fink.
  • Strange Minds Think Alike: After Fink goes down the toilet and crawls through the sewer to reach the Plaza, the robots, K.O., and Enid are all bemused to learn that rats can actually do that.
  • Super Mode: Fink has one via her collar and the use of a Glorb.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: As a reward for successfully keeping an eye on Fink (At least, better than her past sitters, according to Venomous) Boxman gives Darrell and Shannon some t-shirts he took from Billiam Milliam's party.
  • Toilet Teleportation: Fink crawls down a toilet in Box More HQ and comes out of another in Gar's Bodega. Everybody but Rad thought rats being able to do that was just a myth. Shannon and Darrell disassemble themselves to follow after.
  • Villain Episode: The episode focuses on Darrell and Shannon babysitting Fink. The Bodega team briefly appears near the end of the episode.
  • Wham Shot: Fink reveals that Venomous created a special collar for her, and when activated by a glorb, it transforms her into a spiky-haired, sharp collared powerhouse with powers coated in purple. K.O. does the same type of transformation in "T.K.O."
  • Won't Take "Yes" for an Answer: Once Shannon and Darrell catch Fink, they announce they're headed back to Box More HQ. Rad then declares that the only place they're going is... Box More HQ. As Darrell tries to explains that's what they just said and planned to do, the Bodega crew attack anyway, punting Darrell, Shannon, and Fink to their intended destination.
