During an argument over Casey's changes to Lunella's lab, Devil accidentally eats an experimental weapon. Lunella and Casey have to put their differences aside, shrink down, and retrieve it.

  • Anuscape Plan: Heavily implied. Lunella and Casey don't leave through the mouth, emerge under the tail, and Devil is given a close One-Eyed Shot to emphasize his panic when it happens.
  • Bottle Episode: The episode takes place only in Lunella's lab and later inside Devil, while Lunella, Devil, and Casey are the only focus characters and Mimi and the Beyonder make minor onscreen appearances.
  • Butt-Monkey: Throughout the episode, Devil's constantly caught in the crossfire of Lunella and Casey's feuding, and later on due to having to stay perfectly still while the duo removes the goo grenade from him, he ends up attacked by mosquitoes, drenched with sewage, and is left unable to enjoy any ice cream when Mimi offers him some.
  • Chekhov's Gun: When Lunella noted that something would be wrong if she was ever caught listening to Casey's friendship song again, after growing tired of it being played ad nauseum, it ends up being the key to get Casey to her location to help her.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Lunella shoots down the Beyonder’s effort to explain Devil’s anatomy, and naturally, she ends up confused when she finds he has multiple stomachs. Casey immediately asks the audience if anyone was surprised by it.
  • Extreme Omnivore: Among the contents of Devil’s stomach are a football and Casey’s math homework.
  • "Fantastic Voyage" Plot: The plot involves Lunella and Casey shrinking down and going inside Devil's body, after he accidentally eats Lunella's experimental goo grenade.
  • Freudian Excuse: Twice, Casey excuses her recent overbearing attitude towards Lunella after seeing her whisked across the multiverse. Lunella comes to realize how serious that is by the end.
  • Feud Episode: One between Lunella and Casey as the two clash over their different styles.
  • Home and Garden: Casey's renovation of Lunella's trashed lab is revealed better than ever, although some of the upgrades such as a color-coded workshop clashes with her regular work, which leads to a heated argument.
  • Incessant Music Madness: Casey playing the same song about friendship on repeat grates on Lunella's nerves, least of all because she's trying to concentrate while working. She comes back around when the song helps save her life in the end.
  • Odd Couple: Casey's changes to Lunella's lab cause her neat, organized personality to clash with Lunella's Genius Slob tendencies.
  • Out-of-Character Alert: At one point during their feud, Lunella explicitly states that "if she was ever caught listening to [Casey's friendship song (after hearing it too many times)], something is wrong". This would end up serving the duo well later on when Lunella, having been separated from Casey when they split up to look for the goo grenade, would play the song to relay her location to Casey.
  • Shown Their Work:
    • Lunella compares Devil's anatomy to those of birds, since he is related to them as they are both theropod dinosaurs. However, she notes later with surprise Devil has an extra stomach, which is more characteristic of your ruminant herbivores. Justified as he isn't, strictly speaking, an Earth dinosaur.
    • She also mentions lactobacillus as one of the "good bacteria" in Devil's digestive microbiome.
    • Additionally, she nerds out over Devil's villi, which increase his small intestine's surface area to absorb more nutrients.
