Dr. Doofenshmirtz tells Diogee a story about a similar-looking dog he met during summer.
Tropes:
- Bait-and-Switch: Unlike the previous episodes, it doesn't end right after the instrumental part of the line "It's my world and we're all living in it".
- Clark Kenting: The "similar-looking dog" Doof tells Diogee about isn't the "secret agent" but the hatless dog he briefly met during the adventure.
- Continuity Nod: Doof's flashback features a cat he calls "Mister Fluffypants 2". Phineas and Ferb episode "Spa Day" featured the previous Mister Fluffypants.
- Framing Device: Most of the episode is a flashback of the story Doofenshmirtz is telling Diogee.
- Fun with Acronyms: Agee Ientee Diogee.
- Stealth Pun: The title is the phonetic spelling of A.G.E.N.T. D.O.G. This is in reference to Diogee's name being the phonetic spelling of D.O.G.
- Hand Wave: The flashback includes scenes Doofenshmirtz couldn't have known about. He tells his audience to simply "go with it".
- History Repeats: Like in the Phineas and Ferb episode "Misperceived Monotreme", an animal wears the hat of a secret agent of the same species and is mistaken for said agent.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: Doof is shrunk by one of his own shrinking grenades.
- I'm a Doctor, Not a Placeholder: Major Monogram reminds Carl that they're spies, not poets.
- Inevitable Waterfall: That's how Dr. Not Sorry is defeated.
- Informed Attribute: Dr. Not Sorry says his coat is explosion-proof. The viewers never get to see if it's true or not.
- Literal Metaphor:
- Dr. Not Sorry takes his gloves off when he says the gloves come off.
- Dr. Doofenshmirtz says "talk about a tempest in a teapot" when the shrinking grenade's effect wears off while he's inside a teapot.
- Moose and Maple Syrup: Dr. Not Sorry is a Canadian villain who embodies several Canadian stereotypes, including saying hes "not sorry" as often as the stereotypical polite Canadian would say they were sorry.
- Never Trust a Trailer: Well, not a trailer, per se; but the episode synopsis reads: "Milo, Zack and Melissa try to have a peaceful Sunday getting ice cream". This detail has little substance to the actual plot, as Milo and Melissa only appear for less than a minute, and since this was shown in a flashback to summer, Zack doesn't even appear in the episode at all (as he moved to Danville and met Milo after summer was over).
- Small Role, Big Impact: Dr. Not Sorry only makes two brief appearances but he's the reason Diogee was sent to stop Doofenshmirtz instead of the real Agent G.
