After hearing Tommy boast to his karate student about only putting healthy food into his body, Rita is inspired. She sends the Ravenator monster down, shrunken and hiding in a veggie pita, to get into the White Ranger's stomach and overwhelm him with cravings for nothing but junk food! How can the Rangers induce vomiting to remove Ravenator when Tommy just can't stop stuffing his face?
Tropes:
- Actually Pretty Funny: After Rita angrily tells Finster to finish getting the new monster ready, Goldar quips that she's a real people person. Zedd immediately starts laughing at that.
- Big Eater: Tommy becomes this with the Ravenator inside him.
- Broken Pedestal: Danny gets this for Tommy while the Ravenator's inside him, watching him go from vegan meal to hitting the junk food hard. It gets rebuilt at the end of the episode.
- Comically Missing the Point: Kat derides the Tengas as oversized emus. One of them gets sidetracked by this, saying he was certain they were sparrows.
- Everyone Has Standards: Even Bulk who's, well, bulky and known for bizarre and unhealthy taste in food, thinks the "Indigestion Inducer" Skull orders is disgusting.
- Evil Is Petty: Rita's initial motivation for all this is to simply knock "Mr. Perfect" down a peg. Zedd is immediately onboard with whatever she's planning for that reason alone. Anything else is just a bonus.
- I Am a Humanitarian: After growing, Ravenator fully intends to eat the Rangers as a light snack before moving onto Angel Grove as the main course.
- Never My Fault: Rita blames Zedd for the monster after it was destroyed when it was her idea.
- No More for Me: Bulk and Skull eat the rest of the food from the bake sale that wasn't sold. When Lt. Stone brings out a large sundae, they start running.
- She Knows Too Much: Kat is still feeling some residual effects of the spell, allowing her to hear Rita's thoughts and learn that Tommy is in danger. Zedd orders the Tengas to eliminate her before she can warn the other Rangers.
- Snark Ball: The Ravenator's head is basically a giant mouth. Upon seeing him, Rito immediately likens him to Rita.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Sandwich: The Rangers ordered a large sundae to lure the Ravenator out of Tommy.
- Trojan Horse: Rita's plan is this, as Zordon quickly surmises. As a result, the others have to find a way to cure Tommy that does not involve taking him to the Command Center.
- Villainous Glutton: The Ravenator, but unlike the Pudgy Pig, he's an Extreme Omnivore.
