- Artistic License – Economics: Nathan plans on making everyone in the state rich by printing more money and giving it away, asking why nobody ever thought of this. His $666 dollar bills are worthless outside of the state and it tanks the economy into an utter Wretched Hive.
- Decapitation Presentation: Gov. Kip Slaughter's head is chopped off by an angry mob on live TV, and he has the word "dildo" written on his forehead.
- Drunk with Power: While discussing the advantages of being a governor, Nathan realizes he can put his friends in charge of everything, rape and pillage the economy and go mad with power. Toki gets a boner abusing his assistant with mundane tasks. Murderface uses the National Guard to "blow crap up." Pickles becomes the ambassador to China and takes his guests to strip clubs. Skwisgaar uses his position to make porn with older women.
- Likes Older Women: Skwisgaar originally wants nothing to do with Nathan's new government until Pickles tells him Florida has the highest concentration of old ladies, making him sign on. He's shown having a fourway with three older women.
- Mike Nelson, Destroyer of Worlds: The band's song, "Impeach God," summons forth a Class 5 hurricane that destroys the state of Florida.
- Number of the Beast: The new Florida money is valued at $666. It's completely worthless outside of the state.
- Patricide: Gov. Kip Slaughter's daughter is part of the lynch mob that kills him.
- Protest Song: The song they play at the "Metal Benefit Concert", "Impeach God"
with a bit of Type I Religion Rant Song mixed in considering the title. Ironically, it's performed in the midst of Nathan abusing his authority and power as the new governor of Florida. - Red Alert: The Tribunal reacts to Nathan being elected as the new Governor of Florida by going to Purple Alert. All it does is blast a klaxon while a purple light flashes the room.
- The Snack Is More Interesting: Nathan is more interested in eating potato chips while watching the Florida lynch mob, even as Offdensen urges him to get the situation under control. Even after everything has gone to hell and he's getting shot at, he's more concerned about his chips.
- Sole Survivor: Young Nathan is the only survivor of a car crash that kills his classmates and teacher.
- Wretched Hive: In the short time Dethklok is in charge of Florida, the economy is in ruins, millions of jobs are destroyed and crime is up 20,000%. It gets so bad the police have outright left the state, and the Emergency Broadcast System was looted.
