Synopsis: Jindiao takes Po and the kids hostage in an attempt to locate the Wellspring.

Tropes:

  • And This Is for...: When the kids start to blast Jindiao with their chi to weaken him and trap him in the Spirit Urn.
Nu Hai: This is for Bunnidharma!
Bao: This is for stealing Master Po's Hero chi!
Fan Tong: This is for not being very nice!
Jing: And this is for ME!
  • The Bad Guy Wins: Jindiao takes the chi of the kids and regains his dragon form.
  • Character Death: Bunnidharma dies after protecting Po from a lethal chi blast from Jindiao.
  • Call-Back: Li reminds the pandas of the time they used their chi to defeat Kai.
  • Downer Ending: The episode ends with Jindiao taking the chi of the panda kids, turning them into stone and regaining his dragon form.
  • Five-Second Foreshadowing: When Jindiao's spirit is successfully sealed away in the spirit urn, a close eye can tell that the soul seen being sucked into the urn is shaped like a Lämmergeier when Jindiao's soul should be shaped like a dragon.
  • Oh, Crap!: When the pandas realize that they did not trap Jindiao in the Spirit Urn, but the original owner of his mortal form.
  • Staging the Eavesdrop: After Po and the kids get captured, they try to think of a plan while on their way to the Temple of the Four Constellations.
Po: [loudly] The plan is to follow Dragon Master Jindiao and do as he says! [whispering] That is so not the plan!
  • Touched by Vorlons: The wellspring from which all chi flows has always been located under Panda Village, living in close proximity to it is what gave the pandas their exceptional chi proficiency in the past, and the Four Constellations sealing the Wellspring away is what subsequently caused even the knowledge that they once had this ability to be forgotten over 1000 years. Once the Wellspring is unsealed, the pandas all gain powerful chi.
