Examples

  • Abnormal Ammo:
    • Takarada's troops use actual money as ammo against Sanageyama's forces. Sanageyama calls him out on being counterfeit. But Takarada tells him, due to his influence over the city, they're just as good as real money in Osaka.
    • Gamagorri troops uses their rule books against the American based academy.
  • Badass Biker: Ryuko mostly rides a motorcycle through most of the episode.
  • Dynamic Entry: Ryuko bursts in on Gamagoori's side by diving her bike onto his face.
  • Gotta Collect Them All: Ryuko's goal as she drives from one city to the next to get Senketsu's pieces back.
  • Hit Me, Dammit!: Mako sees one of the Takarada troops using money as ammo and, wanting to eat some of Osaka's delicacies and get souvenirs for her family, yell at him to shoot her. Once he does, she collects all the cash shot at her and heads off.
  • Not Quite Dead: Senketsu may be chopped to pieces, but he's still alive and able to communicate with Ryuko through the piece she was able to hold onto.
  • Strolling Through the Chaos: Mako abandons her troops to go sightseeing around Osaka, not even fazed by all the explosions and fighting going on around her.
  • The Four Gods: Kyoto's Academy uses this as their defense.
  • War Arc: More or less, as we see Honnōji Academy wage war against the major schools of Japan.
