Shaygin Mitsel-eman, the first wife of the main protagonist Liska, has a very big problem: She wants her own kittens... from Liska. Obviously, this caused a great dilemma for her, due of the physical impossibility of such feat. The only solution for all that drama came from a person very close to Liska...
- All Lesbians Want Kids: Shaygin wants her own kids from Liska, without caring she is a woman like her. Liska's only solution for solving such problem, without having to involve either Rial (which Shaygin hates) or Pyndan, is to ask her younger brother Markree to had sex with Shaygin, but not without Liska herself doing the act first, for obvious reasons.
- Ambiguous Time Period: Technically speaking, this side-story takes place betweem the events of the "Not What It Seems" sub-arc, as Liska discussed her problem with Pyndan in the second issue of that arc, and before the events of the "When Warriors Die" sub-arc, when we see Shaygin pregnant thanks to Markree.
- Babies Ever After: We don't need to spell out the outcome of the story, since it's also a Foregone Conclusion at this point.
- Furry Reminder: The whole story remind us that, despite the characters are humanoid beings, they still behave like their feral ancestors, as we see Liska licking and biting Shaygin like a cat would do, while Shaygin meows as well.
- Glorified Sperm Donor: Due to the lack of more... modern alternatives to impregnate Shaygin with a baby, Liska is forced to ask her brother Markree to become this, through to all practical effects, he is basically Liska's replacement for a penis, as he does again this with her years later, and with Patches before the last arc.
- Hotter and Sexier: From all the side-stories from the Katmandu Annuals, this is the most erotic and hardcore one published, outside the XXX Files' spin-offs, since the sex scene is somewhat more explicit, outside the very erotic scene involving Leahtrah and Thorin during the "Velites and Hoplites" sub-arc.
- Hypocrite: Shaygin hates men, due to her very screwed-up past during her slavery years, but she doesn't have any problem with having sex with Markree, on the grounds he is Liska's brother. Obviously enough, no one called either her or Liska about this.
