Storious: Saber and his friends have put an end to Master Logos' story. And now, the power of a god is mine.
The four powers, out of our original five, have been gathered.
All that's left is...

With Issac dead, Desast suddenly confronts Storious despite being worn out, while Tassel who protected Luna appears before Touma to explain his role and the history of the Megids, the Almighty Tome and Wonder World. As the past connects to the present, Touma and his friends are left to make difficult choices which will impact their future, but none of them have a particularly desirable outcome...

Episode Tropes

  • Achilles' Heel: Desast's Alter Ride Book is critically damaged during his fight against Storious. Considering that's his power source...
  • Chekhov's Gun: Remember that Alter Ride Book Kamijo was using to keep Desast in-line? Well, it just got damaged.
  • The Corrupter: Storious managed to convince both Legeiel and Zooous to join him, becoming the Megid Generals in the process.
  • Dismantled MacGuffin: In response to the Megid, Victor and Issac's ancestor split the Omniscient Tome into halves and vow to keep the worlds in balance.
  • Dual Wielding: Exaggerated in this episode. First off we have Desast wielding both his original sword and Kyomu against Storious and the Charybdis Megid, then next we have Buster and Slash wielding the original and copies of their swords, and finally Touma using both the Xross Saber and Rekka for the first time since the former debuted.
  • Faceā€“Heel Turn: Zoous and Legeiel were talked into one by Storious, who already had evil goals, 2000 years ago.
  • Friend-or-Idol Decision: Conversed. When Tassel tells Touma that meeting Luna again and accepting her power is a Heroic Sacrifice that will shackle him to Wonder World forever, everyone laments that he has to choose at all. Touma doesn't plan to choose.
  • Genius Loci: Wonder World is revealed to be the embodiment of the stories and myths that allow the development of a civilization. In Layman's Terms, it's the collective of peoples' stories morphed into a place.
  • Identical Grandson: Turns out that the man who became the first Master Logos resembles his descendant Isaac, although it appears he's far more moral and saner.
  • Infodump: Tassel's conversation with Touma's party serves as one.
  • Morton's Fork: Either Touma chooses to remain with his friends and reject his destiny as The Chosen One, or he joins Luna and embraces his destiny, but vanishes from the real world and never see his friends again. Touma, being Touma, rejects this dilemma and decides to Take a Third Option.
  • No Name Given: The individual that Victor inherited the powers of Wonder World from looks exactly like Sophia, but she remains unnamed.
  • Omnicidal Maniac: Storious outs himself as one while duelling Desast, citing how beautiful things are at their ending.
  • The Reveal: A fair few.
    • Tassel/Victor created the Kurayami and by extension, Saikou.
    • Wonder World is less-so a mystical realm so much as a manifestation of Humanity's collective story-power.
  • Superman Stays Out of Gotham: The reason Victor/Tassel was unable to intervene during the world's various crises was that as the Wonder World's chosen, he cannot directly interfere in the real world's affairs.
  • Tempting Fate: In Tassel's flashback, the original Master Logos mentions that the Omniscient Tome's power "may even be able to forge a whole new world". His future descendant in the present day eventually becomes the one who actually tries to do so.
  • Used to Be a Sweet Kid: Zooous and Legeiel were originally very nice people until Storious corrupted them into becoming Megid along with him.

Storious: I've finally found you... VICTOR!!!
