With Daiji easily defeated and Akaishi revealing his plans for the world, the Igarashi can only question his ability to protect the peace while the Deadmans' founder pursues all who opposes him and Weekend tries and fails to rally them to fight back. Meanwhile, Ikki ponders over Akemi's advice to use Giff's power against the demon itself...

Tropes

  • Body-Count Competition: Between Hikaru and Hana when fighting an army of Giff Juniors. Subverted when they both admit they lost count, making it moot anyway.
  • The Bus Came Back: Hiromi returns just in time to stop Daiji from beating up Ikki.
  • Calling the Old Man Out: George rips Masumi a new one for experimenting on Genta/Junpei.
  • Diabolus ex Machina: Revice was so close to freezing Akemi and saving her were it not for the Hell Gifftarian manhandling Jeanne, forcing them to come to her rescue which allows Akaishi to dispose of Akemi while no one is looking.
  • Do Not Adjust Your Set: Weekend hijacks the local broadcasts in an attempt to cast doubt in Akaishi's message.
  • In the Back: Akaishi kills Akemi by blasting her from behind.
  • Internal Reveal: Masumi shows off his burn-scarred face to his son George, in an attempt to show the price he paid for his experiments.
  • Killed Off for Real: Akemi meets her demise courtesy of Akaishi and Giff.
  • Liberty Over Prosperity: Daiji gets into an argument with Ikki over this, stating that peace by staying on Giff's good side is far preferable to freedom by opposing Giff and the chaos that follows. When Ikki declares that he won't give up either peace or freedom, Daiji scoffs and calls him an idealist.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: By virtue of not being with Weekend as well as dismissing their plan outright, Daiji isn't privy to their plan of rescuing Akemi and getting Giff cells from her, so he misinterprets Revice fighting her as sacrificing her instead.
  • Oh, Crap!: Sakura is rather shaken when the Hell Gifftarian shrugs off all of her finishers, allowing it to gain the upper hand in their battle.
  • Out-Gambitted: Once again, Akaishi knew Revice and Weekend would come after Giffdemos/Akemi, thus he purposely had a Fenix soldier show footage of Revice fighting Giffdemos to Daiji in order to have him jump to conclusions over Ikki intending to "sacrifice" Akemi, and then had her killed while everyone is distracted to further make him assume Ikki had done the deed, while preventing them from bringing her back to use her Giff cells for a new weapon.
  • Phlebotinum Rebel: Based on Akemi's message to Revice, Weekend based their plan this episode on reclaiming her in order to use Giff's own cells from her Giffdemos body to create a new Power-Up for Revice to fight Giff himself on even grounds.
  • Poor Communication Kills: Daiji misinterprets that Ikki accidentally killed Akemi instead of saving her like he said. Since none of them saw that Akaishi killed her, Daiji blows up in Ikki's face, coming very close to beating his brother if it wasn't for Hiromi stopping him at the last minute.
  • Wham Shot:
    • Akaishi summoning Giff and firing a beam into Akemi from behind, killing her.
    • Hiromi arriving and stopping Daiji from landing a second punch on Ikki.
