With all Level 10 Chemies in hand, Geryon moves to open the Door to Darkness, with the only key left being the Gotchard Driver. At the same time, the Kitchen Alliance moves to Ouroboros World to rescue the Chemies.

Can Houtaro save his best friend before it's too late?

Tropes:

  • Asshole Victim: Geryon finally getting his just desserts by being pulled into the Door of Darkness by a mysterious entity for the ritual being stopped after being defeated. Considering the extent of his depravity, it's hard to feel any pity for him.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Minato swoops in and stops Geryon from killing Houtaro.
  • Crazy-Prepared: Having expected Atropos to use her brainwashing, Renge and Sabimaru had prepared shields transmuted from Zukyumpire's ability, dubbed the Anti-Brainwashing Zukyun Shield, to No-Sell it.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Platina Gotchard in his first appearance trashes Dread Type Three, to the point that he can combine the powers of the other Ride Chemy Cards (which includes the Level 10 ones as well).
  • Darkest Hour: Geryon has all the Chemies needed and then steals Houtaro's Driver to open the Door to Darkness.
  • Deal with the Devil: Geryon's endgame is to make a deal with the entity behind the Door of Darkness so he can turn the world into gold in exchange for defeating Gotchard. Unfortunately for Geryon, he can't keep up his end of the bargain and gets Dragged Off to Hell for his failure.
  • Disappointed by the Motive: Houtaro can't help but be a little irked when Geryon reveals his motive is to gain the power to turn the world into gold and put it into eternal stasis as a result.
    Houtaro: Is that it?
    Geryon: Hmm?
Houtaro: Is that really it, Geryon? Is that your Gotcha?
  • Eldritch Abomination: When Geryon opens the Door of Darkness, there is a malevolent entity inside it which is the source of all darkness in that dimension. Geryon intended to sacrifice the Chemies so the entity can grant him the power to cover everything in gold, placing the world in permanent stasis for himself and his followers. But Houtaro gets the Chemies to free themselves and stop the ritual, the entity dragging the defeated Geryon away for his failure
  • Heel–Face Turn: After a pep talk from Kyoka, Minato finally decides to help his students again, declaring he's not listening to Geryon’s taunts anymore. Likewise, Lachesis continues to steadily move in this direction, revealed to have helped Kyoka reach Minato and implied to be the reason the latter reached the Ouroboros Realm in the first place.
  • I Am Not Left-Handed: When the heroes starts to push back Geryon as Dread Type Two, he responds to the situation by going into Dread Type Three.
  • Kick the Dog: In his fantasy of a world made of gold, Geryon pops a little girl’s bubble coming from her time-frozen bubble blower wand.
  • MacGuffin Delivery Service: Subverted. Geryon lets the Riders arrive in the Ouroboros World as he plans on taking the Gotchardriver to use as the key to open the Door of Darkness, but Houtaro gets it back in the end and defeats Geryon to boot.
  • Mid-Season Upgrade: Platina Gotchard appears in this episode, as Hopper1 evolves into Crosshopper with help from the Level 10 Chemies.
  • Near-Villain Victory: Geryon succeeds in gathering all of the things he needs to open the Door of Darkness — the Chemies, the Dreadriver, and the Gotchardriver — and almost strikes Houtaro down, until Minato arrives just in time and holds off Geryon, allowing Houtaro to break free and rescue the Chemies.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Despite achieving his goal of opening the Door to Darkness, Geryon is livid to find that Houtaro's influence caused the Chemies to Grew Beyond Their Programming and begin resisting. Then Houtaro scatters the Chemy cards to halt the ritual, leading to Geryon responding with pure anger to the point where he furiously and vainly attacks Platina Gotchard despite being heavily outclassed to exact revenge on the young alchemist.
  • Wham Line: In response to Houtaro's Rousing Speech:
Hopper1 (translated through Isaac): "Gotcha"... I got it, Houtaro!
  • Wham Shot: At the end, despite losing Geryon, Atropos declares it’s not over as his cube pulses in dark energy.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are:
    • Kyoka gives Minato a big pep talk, reminding him that even with his past failures he has an opportunity to make things right by helping his students.
    • With the situation looking dire, Houtaro calls out to the Chemies to try and break out themselves saying their much more than who they are. Reminded of their time with Houtaro, they power through with Level 10 Chemies upgrading Hopper1 into Crosshopper after managing to break free.
