Keiwa: Out of nowhere, a nightmare befell our world.
As our world approached its end, he appeared before me.
Yes... the fox!
After he defeated the giant monster, he said to me:
"This is a game to rewrite our world."

Ace Ukiyo, the previous Desire Grand Prix and winner of the title of "Desashin", has won again. Meanwhile, Keiwa receives a Rider I.D. Core and a Desire Driver, and is invited into the Desire Grand Prix, meeting some familiar faces upon gearing up. However, no one is prepared for what lies ahead in the next game…

Tropes

  • 100% Heroism Rating: Part of Ace's wish is that he becomes a famous celebrity with everyone fawning over him, except for people who retained their memories of the previous world and had a grudge against him like Michinaga.
  • Beginner's Luck: Subverted. Keiwa gets the Boost Buckle as his loot after the first round, but spends the second round letting it go to his head and ends up giving it to Ace instead.
  • Break the Cutie: Between Takahito dying on him and Ace using him for a puppy punting exercise, Keiwa's trauma from #1 grows even deeper.
  • Call-Back: Hajime Kanzaki and Nana Hayashimoto reprise their cameos from the previous episode as participants of the new DGP. The script gives their names (respectively) as Kagetora Minamoto/Kamen Rider Razebunote  and Akisa Momokino/Kamen Rider Dauphin.note
  • Condescending Compassion: Intentional on Ace's part. The way he pats Keiwa on the shoulder after explaining the trickery radiates toxic pity. He even concludes that the other rider probably couldn't not fall for it because he is as gullible as he looks.
  • Diabolus ex Nihilo: The Toryo Jyamato causes all remaining Riders that didn't get a Raise Buckle in the Treasure Hunt round to be wiped out and mortally wounds Takahito as well.
  • Foreshadowing: Despite Michinaga stating Kanato has what Ace wants, Ace briefly smirks at Keiwa and the Boost Buckle he has shortly after that conversation is over.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: Looking at the wish cards reveals some of the wishes of certain contestants, such as Yakumo Hamatuki wanting to reunite with his family, Kagetora Minamoto wishes to use his superiors as subordinates, Reia Shiishii wishes to talk to animals, along with wishes to be number one in the world, regain eyesight for a horse race, become an idol (sailed by someone with a masculine name) and increases sales for something called “PALMAP”.
  • I Lied: Ace tells Keiwa that the sob story he made up regarding helping children as his wish was all made up as a justification to get the Boost Buckle back, as befitting his own Animal Motif of a trickster fox. However, his Pet the Dog moment at the end of the episode implies that it wasn’t a total lie.
  • Kick the Dog: Ace tricks Keiwa into giving him the Boost Buckle and then explains it as being Cunning Like a Fox, causing him to break down in tears. While it is revealed later on that Ace is not entirely heartless, Keiwa has no way of knowing that.
  • Lethal Joke Item: The Water Buckle summons a water cannon... that naturally proves to be virtually useless when there's no water nearby, meaning Geats has better use of it as a bludgeon, which he also uses it as. It certainly lives up to its name, however, when the fight changes to a watery location such as a river and even more so when paired up with Boost.
  • Pet the Dog: Ace makes an anonymous donation in order to pay for Takahito's son's surgery, even if he was under no obligation to do so.
  • Uncertain Doom: It’s unclear if those eliminated by the Toryo Jamato were Killed Off for Real, or simply banished from the game. It's highly implied to be the former through Tsumuri's use of the word "survivor" to refer to the remaining participants and Ace explaining that the Reset Button does not apply for Riders.
  • With This Herring: The very first task of the new Desire Grand Prix is for the players to secure themselves at least one Raise Buckle. Only those who do so can advance to the following round.
