After learning from Bishop about the effects of combat stress on soldiers, Miyafuji becomes determined to help cheer up her squadmates and deal with their problems.
Tropes in this episode:
- Box-and-Stick Trap: Subverted. Lucchini runs away and in order to catch her it appears that Yeager and Hartmann are going to use one of these to catch her. Instead they kidnap Sanya (so she can use her Radar magic to find Lucchini) and put her in the box, and it is heavily implied they used the stick to violently knock out Eila.
- "Could Have Avoided This!" Plot: After working at getting Lucchini's tooth out, it turns out it was a baby tooth and the adult tooth was pushing it out.
- DIY Dentistry: Lucchini gets a cavity, and rather than go to the dentist they Witches try to pull the tooth on their own.
- Funny Background Event: When Yoshika and Bishop are discussing combat stress, Barkhorn is yelling at (and punches) Hartmann in the background.
- Gilligan Cut: Twice in one scene. First Hartmann says she wants to help Barkhorn release her stress. Cut Hartmann unconscious facedown on the floor covered with blood. After she gets up, Hartmann tells Barkhorn she will help with all her puberty related problems. Barkhorn gives her a Death Glare and Hartmann suggests that Barkhorn is coming onto her "sexy body." Cue Hartmann facedown on the floor again.
- Insane Troll Logic: When Yoshika tells Sakamoto about her concerns about the unit being overstressed, Sakamoto comes to the conclusion that the proper way to relieve it is a new brutal daily training regiment then happily leaves to suggest it to Minna.
- Stating the Simple Solution: Subverted. Yoshika asks around for opinions on what they should do with Lucchini's cavity. Perrine and Barkhorn say she should take her to the hospital. Bishop suggests yanking it out themselves with a pair of household pliars. Yoshika goes with Bishop's advice.
