iScream on Halloween is the 7th episode in the first season of iCarly.
On Halloween, Carly, Sam and Freddie do a special webcast from an apartment that is rumored to be haunted.
Meanwhile, Spencer gets in trouble when he forgets to stock up on candy for the trick-or-treaters.
Tropes:
- Ask a Stupid Question...: When the iCarly trio are trying to escape the apartment, but Freddie accidentally pulls off the exit doorknob.Sam: Why did you twist off the doorknob?!Freddie: Because I wanted it for my knob collection!
- Big Bad Ensemble: Lewbert and the trick-or-treater kids. They even band together at one point to take down Spencer.
- Chekhov's Gunman: The elderly lady in the lobby who could not hear Carly nor Freddie turns out to be the owner of 13B.
- Halloween Episode: The first one in the series.
- Hypocritical Humor: The elderly lady is screaming when she cannot year anything. Her son fixes her hearing aid and asks her loudly if that is better. She tells him that he does not need to shout.
- I Ate WHAT?!: Subverted. Spencer lets Carly drink his iced tea, but he adds it's gasoline and she spits it out, then he says "kidding!"
- I Got a Rock: Spencer uses various everyday objects to substitute for candy, such as a 6-pack of diet root beer, a carton of eggs, a box of macaroni, jumper cables, and ice cubes.
- I Have to Go Iron My Dog: When the iCarlys are about to go into 13B, Freddie says that he has to make his mother a salad. Sam is not fooled, and she shoves him into the room.
- Innocently Insensitive: As part of Freddie's witch costume that his mother made him, he has a large fake wart on his face. When Lewbert (who has an actual large wart on his face) catches sight of it, he is not pleased at all.
- Idiot Ball: Spencer shouldn't have kept opening the door for kids if he didn't have any candy. Giving them worthless items only made them more angry.
- Kids Are Cruel:
- Spencer learns this the hard way, especially when you don't give them candy on Halloween.
- Lewbert was having a steak with potatoes and peas for dinner. But he eats it on his desk instead of his private room, allowing a kid to steal his steak right off his fork and run with it.
- Monster Clown: As part of the scares that the iCarly trio get in the apartment, they shine a flashlight that reveals a hideous grinning clown head. It later turns out that it was just a telephone that no one ever calls.
- Someone's Touching My Butt: When the iCarlys are hiding in a dark closet, Sam accidentally touches Carly's butt and apologizes when she finds out, much to her indignation.
- Spoof Aesop: "Never forget to buy candy on Halloween."
- A Taste of Their Own Medicine: Lewbert gets back at the iCarly crew for always pranking him by putting them through hell in apartment 13-B, let alone he is able to interrupt their web-show and announce he fooled them into going in there.
- 13 Is Unlucky: The rumored haunted apartment is numbered 13-B.
