The Griffins are trapped inside a hotel room while a hurricane is sweeping through Quahog, and with no other entertainment, they decide to read stories from the hotel bible.
This episode contains examples of:
- Bait-and-Switch: Peter as Jesus and the Giant Chicken as a Roman soldier glare at and leap towards each other, but the story ends before we can see this (as Peter says) "Chicken fight of biblical proportions."
- Big Storm Episode: Downplayed. While the setup for the episode is that the Griffins are cooped up indoors because of a hurricane, the episode's main focus is the Griffins telling each other their own versions of stories from the Bible.
- Gale-Force Sound: The hotel's TV is so loud it gradually blows the whole family back as their ears bleed and Peter's glasses crack.
- Kick the Dog: Well-after getting to their room, the family realize Brian isn't there. Peter left Brian chained up in the gully in the backyard, and he nearly drowns. He is not happy about this in the last scene.
- "Last Supper" Steal: In the Last Supper story, Peter as Jesus and his disciples are all dressed like they were in the famous Leonardo da Vinci painting, and all sit around the table the same way. There's even a shot where they all pose like The Last Supper, and a restaurant employee (played by Meg) takes a souvenir photo.
- Running Gag: In the Noah story, he completes the Ark by ripping wood out of a neighbor's house, causing said neighbor's bathtub to fall.Cleveland: No no no no NOAH!
- Take That!: The Noah story initially lifts exact lines from Bill Cosby's old routines. Lois lampshades this.Peter: Well, why not? All of his stuff is up for grabs. What is he gonna do, sue us?
- Cleveland in the Last Supper calls out the inaccuracy of Renaissance-Era art depicting Biblical figures as white, when he's the only person of color.
- Three Shorts: This time based around Bible stories; Adam and Eve, Noah's Ark, and The Last Supper.
