Hacker shows up at Motherboard Control Central. He pleads guilty to being the King of Chaos, but says he’s sorry. He doesn’t want to be the bad guy anymore. But when nobody’s looking, he slips a strange frog into the air duct. What happens when this frog grows into a grotesque, alien creature that threatens to destroy Motherboard? And what will happen to the kids when they go inside Motherboard to track it down?

Tropes in this episode:

  • Being Evil Sucks: Hacker tries to get the CyberSquad to believe that he’s sick of being evil and that all the fame and fortune it’s gotten him is nothing compared to the love he wants.
  • Blue Means Cold: Hacker turns from his usual Green and Mean to a light blue after the temperature drops in the garden he was locked in.
  • *Drool* Hello: Hacker’s now-giant robot frog does this to Jackie.
Jackie: Hey, is it raining in here?
  • Enhance Button: The CyberSquad is watching security footage of Motherboard’s circuit system, when Inez sees something suspicious and asks Digit to bring the image into focus. By the time he does, the figure has moved out of frame.
  • Falsely Reformed Villain: Hacker pretends he’s reformed in order to infiltrate the CyberSquad and hack Motherboard’s circuits.
  • The Golden Rule: Hacker acts like he’s turned over a new leaf after learning about the Golden Rule for the first time.
  • Halloween Episode: The CyberSquad’s trick-or-treating is interrupted when Hacker tries some Halloween Trickery on Motherboard.
  • Not-So-Innocent Whistle: Hacker whistles and averts his eyes when the CyberSquad discovers his true intentions for coming to visit Motherboard.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: The CyberSquad immediately stops trick-or-treating and heads to Cyberspace when they find out Hacker is acting weirdly nice and wants to return home to Motherboard.
Hacker: Your wayward son has returned!
  • Operation: [Blank]: Hacker’s evil plan to hack Motherboard using his robot frog is called “Operation: Bullfrog”.
  • Orphaned Punchline:
Hacker: So I said, "Sorry lady, not potato chips, computer chips!"
  • Rousing Speech: Jackie gives one to the rest of the squad to convince them to go back and catch Hacker’s frog, because it’s their responsibility to protect Motherboard.
Jackie: So what if there’s some giant frog on the loose? So what if it’s scaring the heck out of us?! We’ve got a job to do!
  • Scared of What's Behind You: While Jackie is giving her pep talk, she doesn’t notice that the giant frog has appeared right behind her.
  • Talk Like a Pirate: Jackie in her pirate costume.
  • Trauma Button Ending: After spending the evening being hunted by a giant frog, the CyberSquad goes back to trick-or-treating. At the first house they go to, a kid opens the door for them in a frog costume and they run off screaming.
