English Episode Title: Countdown — French Episode Title: Compte à rebours
Samantha returns to Kadic, to the joy of Odd, Jérémie runs a digital filter to decode a video to see what it contains, while Odd gets his words jumbled up and cannot talk to anyone.
This episode contains examples of:
- All Your Powers Combined: The Blok wall combines all their lasers into one big powerful laser, and it obliterates Yumi and William.
- Bait-and-Switch: It appears Yumi was going into a XANA trap when Jim lead him to Delmas' office. Turns out it's all fine, and XANA specter got there too late, and was only eavesdropping to see where Yumi was headed.
- Barrier Warrior: Aelita's shield briefly diverts laser fire from the Blok wall, but both get devirtualised soon after.
- Call-Back: Samantha returns, last being seen in the skateboarding competition in Final Round.
- Continuity Nod: One again, the "12 hour rule" is mentioned, first being established in Rivalry.
- Entertainingly Wrong: Ulrich claims Odd is gonna have trouble talking to Samantha, when in fact, the Specter is causing him to not talk to anyone in any coherent way.
- The Bus Came Back: Samantha, Odd's Love Interest in the animated series, returns to Kadic.
- Happy Dance: Odd after defeating the Blok wall, moonwalking into the tower too.
- Master of Disguise: The Specter changes from a student to a janitor, to the groundskeeper, to Mr. Delmas, and then finally Samantha.
- My Hovercraft Is Full of Eels: Odd gets kicked over by a XANA specter of a janitor, who makes him speak in nonsensical phrases. The effects are reversed on Lyoko, however.
- Ninja: Courtesy of Yumi, Odd acts this way when sneaking up to the Blok wall.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Odd, who dresses fairly smartly to see Samantha again.
- Race Lift: Samantha, who was black in the animated series, becomes white here. They do share similar clothing, however.
- Sure, Let's Go with That: Yumi gives Jim his phone back, and Yumi says that Odd is going through a rough time, and Jim presumes that she's talking about school work stress, schedules, and not getting enough exercise.
- Tap on the Head: More like a massive cliff face being demolished behind them, but Ulrich and Aelita get killed because of the collateral damage of Aelita diverting the Blok walls' laser.
- The Virus: Odd cannot speak in coherent sentences when touched by the XANA!janitor specter.
- The Reveal: The decoded video has Franz talking to Tyron about building the new super computer, and Franz even walks out of the room because of his Obviously Evil nature.
