After Carl gets in trouble when Dry Bones borrows his car, the two get into a heated row, resulting in negative consequences for the both of them. Meanwhile, Talia starts considering dropping out of school and leaving Toad Town alongside her boyfriend Chad, which does not please Grace, Roxanne and Kylie.

Tropes

  • "Could Have Avoided This!" Plot: Carl lampshades how Dry Bones would have kept his and Carl's friendship intact had he not destroyed Carl's car, made him take the fall for the broken car and treated Talia horribly throughout their relationship.
  • The Dog Bites Back: Carl and Flaig are the ones who put Dry Bones in his place.
    • After Dry Bones has gotten Carl in trouble numerous times and given him a Nosebleed, Carl decides to grow a new pair and give him the most abrasive and most painful punishment of his life.
    • Flaig pins the blame on Dry Bones by telling Gooper, Liam and Bob that he (Dry Bones) was the one who called the police on Gooper's gang, the Gutts and the Kramps after the four have constantly mocked him a lot throughout the previous night and kissed Kylie at "Carl's House Party". It is revealed that in the second part of "Civil War" Flaig was the one who called the police on his gang members, the Bloods and the Kramps.
  • Feud Episode: The episode centers around Carl and Dry Bones having a falling out after Dry Bones borrows the former's car and crashes it, resulting in Carl getting in trouble with Officer Mitchell.
  • Never My Fault: Dry Bones refuses to acknowledge that it was foolish of him to borrow Carl's car without his permission and crash it, instead insisting that the car itself was to blame.
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Carl subjects Dry Bones to one on these when the latter gives him a Nosebleed.
  • Police Are Useless: At the start of the episode, two police officers named Tommy and Franklin see Dry Bones driving Carl's car very fast down the street. Tommy suggests they pull them over, but Franklin decides not to do anything about it because their shift ends in 15 minutes.
  • Plot-Mandated Friendship Failure: Carl decides he wants nothing to do with Dry Bones after the latter crashes his car.
  • Rage Breaking Point: During their argument in school, Carl tells Dry Bones that Talia is better off with her new boyfriend than she ever was with Dry Bones. This results in Dry Bones angrily smashing Carl's face with a bone, giving him a Nosebleed.
  • Tempting Fate: After Dry Bones crashes Carl's car into a lamp post, he thinks it isn't too severely damaged. Almost immediately, the car bursts into flames.
  • You Are Grounded!: Linda tells Carl that he is not allowed to drive for two weeks when she and Calvin find out about the crash.
