The Heeler sisters' uncle Rad comes over and plays around with them, surprising Bingo and pretending to think she's Bluey and Bluey is a boy. When he reveals that he'll be putting them to bed, Bluey isn't keen, then Frisky (the girls' godmother) also enters. It turns out that she hasn't gotten the message that Uncle Rad was babysitting the girls, but just as she turns to leave, the girls beg both babysitters to stay.

As they leave, Chilli reveals that the reason Bluey is unhappy is because she dislikes babysitter putdowns. When Rad asks her why, she claims that her previous babysitter putdown was "too different", so he agrees to try to do it the same way the parents do.

They then play 20 Questions, but the girls ask awkward questions, such as why Rad doesn't have a wife, why Frisky has so few friends, and why she isn't seeing a guy named Bosco anymore. When Bingo says, "Is true love not forever?", Rad ends the game, and they go outside to play a game involving chasing torchlight in the manner of cats.

As the girls brush their teeth, Bluey again voices her unsureness about babysitter putdowns. Rad holds her upside down on the ceiling, stating that strange experiences can be fun once you get used to them. Bingo asks Frisky to do the same to her, but Frisky has a bit of trouble due to her and Bingo both being shorter.

Rad then role-plays as a prince, saving "Princess" Frisky from an imaginary dragon. Bluey and Bingo insist that the story end with the prince and princess marrying, which pleases Rad, but Frisky isn't so sure. Bingo falls asleep, but Bluey asks Rad and Frisky if they'll watch TV after she goes to bed. The reason Bluey dislikes babysitter putdowns is because her last one was with Nana, who woke her up by watching a "scary" TV show that was playing too loud due to her bad hearing.

Frisky encourages Bluey to give it another try, then later, the girls wake up at night to find the adults making small talk about shampoo.

This episode provides examples of

  • Armor-Piercing Response: Unwittingly, Bingo brings one such question during 20 Questions with Uncle Rad and Frisky. When the conversation veers towards the topic of her now-ex-boyfriend Bosco, she reveals he's "not [her true love] anymore". This leads to Bingo wondering, "Is true love not forever?" Frisky quickly affirms it is, but then realizes to herself that not only is love complicated, but how fleeting hers and Bosco's "love" was.
  • Babysitting Episode: The episode follows Rad and Frisky babysitting the Heeler sisters at night time.
  • Change the Uncomfortable Subject: During the game of 20 Questions, Frisky is clearly uncomfortable when Bluey and Bingo keep asking her about Bosco, who's heavily implied to be her ex-boyfriend. Seeing how awkward things are getting, Rad immediately suggests that they all play in the yard instead.
  • Continuity Nod: The games Bluey and Bingo suggest that they play in the yard are "Chickenrat" and "Come Here and Go Away".
  • Damsel in Distress: Conversed when Frisky role-plays as a princess being saved from a dragon.
  • The First Cut Is the Deepest: Discussed and Downplayed. When playing 20 Questions, Bluey asks if Frisk would have any kids with Bosco, whom she calls her "true love". Frisky tells her that she and Bosco aren't friends anymore (that is, they broke up), along with a slight drift saying she thought true love was forever. Despite this, she syncs well with Rad, as the two continue talking even long after Bluey and Bingo falls asleep.
  • Informed Attribute: Frisky describes the "prince" as "muscly", possibly meaning that Rad is, but he doesn't look particularly muscled.
  • Innocent Awkward Question: During 20 Questions, Bluey and Bingo ask Rad why he doesn't have a wife and if it's because of his job, and Frisky why she has so few friends and if "true love [isn't] forever" after hearing that she and Bosco have split up.
  • Kids Shouldn't Watch Horror Films: Possibly, because Bluey had a bad experience with Nana babysitting one time, and Bluey woke up because Nana was watching something scary on TV.
  • Love at First Sight: Rad and Frisky become quite smitten with each other upon meeting for the first time, though it takes some time for Frisky to completely warm up to Rad due to her implied issues with her ex-boyfriend.
  • Noodle Incident: Apparently, Rad fell into the pool during Bandit and Chili's wedding.
  • Psychological Projection:
    • During their game/bedtime story with the girls, Frisky (pretending to be a princess) refuses to be saved by Rad (the prince). Why? Because she personally thinks all princes just want to punch dragons rather than have meaningful relationships with the princesses they rescue. It's implied that her ex-boyfriend Bosco either cheated on her or dumped her so that he could date another dog, and she's projecting her belief that if she goes into a relationship with Rad, he'll do more of the same thing, despite how he's clearly a good man.
    • Later, a wiser variation comes into play. Parallel to how Frisky is struggling with a break-up, Bluey is struggling with having a new babysitter put her to bed. The latter later reveals to Frisky and Uncle Rad that the reason she's reluctant to have a babysitter is because she previously had a bad experience with her Nana putting her to bed, when she turned the television's volume up due to being hard of hearing, and Bluey was frightened when she overheard Nana watching "something scary". When Uncle Rad assures her that this time won't be as bad, Bluey wonders how she can be sure. Empathizing this with her own dating experience, Frisky tells Bluey she can't be sure, but she won't know until she gives it a try. The way she frames it implies she may be talking more about her own experience with her ex Bosco than Bluey's experience with Nana:
Bluey: But how can I know for sure it won't happen again?
Frisky: You can't. But you have to give it a go anyway, or you'll be stuck in the tower with a stinky dragon forever.
  • Rescue Romance: Invoked during the bedtime story Rad and Frisky act out for Bluey and Bingo, where Rad plays the prince who rescues the princess (Frisky) from a stinky dragon and declares that the two of them will now marry. However, Frisky doesn't play along at first since she thinks princes don't really care about the princesses they rescue and just want to punch dragons (though it's implied that she's projecting her own feelings about her ex-boyfriend Bosco onto the scenario). She eventually gives in at the end when Bluey and Bingo are disappointed by how they don't get married.
  • Ship Tease: There's quite a bit of it between Rad and Frisky in this episode, as they're shown to get along well and the end of the episode has them bonding over using the same shampoo.
