Chilli is at a baby shower out of town and won't be back until late, so it falls to Bandit to put the girls to bed. Anxious about falling asleep without her mother there, Bluey tries to convince Bandit to ask her to come home, but she is eventually able to see Chilli's point of view and fall asleep peacefully.
Tropes:
- Literal-Minded: Invoked. Bandit pretends he mistakenly believes baby showers are about 'washing some stinky baby' in order to encourage Bluey to understand their true meaning.
- Sleep Cute: Chili promises she'll give Bluey a kiss goodnight once she returns, and Bluey grumbles that (because she'll be asleep) she won't be able to feel it. Chili tells her that she will, which is exactly what happens; the last scene of the episode shows her kissing her daughter, and Bluey smiling unconsciously in response.
- The Talk: Bingo asks her father how babies get inside the lady's belly. Bandit wordlessly changes the subject by spinning her swing around.
