- Addled Addict: Lynn's addiction is on full display, lashing out at Jennifer and even directly attacking Jefferson.
- Big Damn Heroes: Jefferson saves Anissa from a bunch of ASA thugs who were about to overwhelm her.
- Broken Pedestal: Jennifer is completely fed up with Odell, even being willing to outright kill him.
- Continuity Nod: Obviously, the Crisis gets referenced.
- Crazy-Prepared: Knowing that Jennifer has it out for him, Odell wisely projects a hologram of himself instead of meeting her in person.
- Death Amnesia: Nobody but Jennifer and Jefferson remembers the events of Crisis (and even then, Jennifer was in limbo), due to the anti-matter wave destroying them all.

- Gambi is told about the Crisis by Jefferson and Jennifer, though he can hardly believe it.
- Jennifer and Jefferson learn about Lynn being an addict.
- TC learns about Gambi making suits for superheroes.
- Mind-Control Device: Dr. Blair has one installed on an ASA operative named Travis and the same fate is planned for Jennifer.
- Power High: TC is a little too dependent on his powers, as Gambi points out, having become socially awkward as a result.
- Power Incontinence: Brandon is having a breakdown, causing a big earthquake.
- Rousing Speech: Anissa as Blackbird gives one to the Resistance, freeing another camp of abducted metas.
- Tranquillizer Dart: How Jennifer and Brandon get kidnapped by the ASA.
- Wham Shot: The person who put a hit on Gambi? An apparently resurrected Lady Eve!
- What the Hell, Hero?: Jefferson and Anissa call each other out for their respective mistakes.
- The Worf Effect: Jennifer is now powerful enough to overpower her's and Brandon's Power Limiter the ASA put on them without much trouble.
- You Are in Command Now: With Lynn having left the ASA, Dr. Blair is now the leading scientist, which isn't too easy for him.
