In the middle of the perfectly symmetrical blue dunes of Indigo 3, there's a temple devoted to chaos. The nuns are a bit upset, though, when people suddenly get bitten in half by sentient crocodiles.
Lucie is forced to become a nun, is subsequently kidnapped and hypnotised by the crocodiles, and she and the Eighth Doctor are told to go bash in each other's skulls in mortal combat.
After all that, Lucie is almost forced to stay at the temple forever, but the nuns decide that the Doctor is a chaotic element that should be tempered by Lucie's calm presence. They charge her with being his moral guardian on his future journeys. The Doctor and Lucie try very hard to keep a straight face.
