Leave it to the American Dragon to bring eastern and western cultures together, and on stage no less!

On Christmas Eve, Jake rebels against his family's embarrassing family traditions, only to be taught the true meaning of Christmas when he has to reunite a lost baby sasquatch with his family.

  • An Ass-Kicking Christmas: Jake has to spend Christmas Eve fighting around New York trying to rescue a baby sasquatch from Rotwood and the Huntsboys in order to ensure the baby's family doesn't tear the city apart trying to find him.
  • Chaos of the Bells: A riff of the song's chorus plays as Spud throws his nana's fruitcake at the Huntsclan chopper to disable it.
  • Chekhov's Gun: Nana Spudinski's fruitcake, which defeats the Huntsclan so Jake can rescue the baby Sasquatch and return it to its family.
  • Christmas Episode: Like is the case with "The Halloween Bash", it's in the title.
  • Everyone Hates Fruitcakes: The fruitcake Spud gives Jake not only looks like a football but tastes like one as well.
  • Everyone Is Christian at Christmas: Mostly played straight, but averted with Spud who goes around celebrating all the December holidays at once thanks to his extended family of different faiths all being in town.
  • Digital Piracy Is Okay: Haley implies that she pirated a replacement album of Jonathan's "Jingle Bells Barnyard" record.
Haley: I'll download a replacement. Legally, of course.
  • Fourth-Wall Observer: Fu Dog acts as the episode's Lemony Narrator.
  • The Grinch: Jake doesn't mind Christmas in general. It's just his family's embarrassing tendency to go over the top with the celebrations that have caused him to sour over the years.
  • Here We Go Again!: Jungle Jingle Bells upsets Jake worse than Barnyard Jingle Bells.
  • Musicalis Interruptus: Fu attempts to musically recap the first half of the episode once coming back from commercial break, but is stopped short by first swallowing a bug and then having the sasquatch herd throw a train car at him.
  • Rimshot: Performed diegetically when Spud makes a "Sasquatch-ewan" pun.
  • Sexy Santa Dress: Jake himself winds up in one of these after he accidentally winds up in the middle of a holiday show, with the performers assuming he's there for the Chinese New Year portion and just running with it.
Jake: Suddenly, I'm really missing that Christmas sweater.
  • The Stinger: Fu Dog advertises his Sasquatch-themed Christmas record, only for him to realize he's got a bomb on his paws when all the songs are just Sasquatch shrieks.
  • True Meaning of Christmas: Spending time with family, dorky traditions and all.
  • Villainous Rescue: Huntsboys #88 and #89 end up saving the baby sasquatch when it's scared out of the Central Park Christmas Tree by the lights being turned on.
  • When You Coming Home, Dad?: Trixie spends a majority of the episode depressed that her Air Force veteran father spends almost all his time deployed, even during the holidays. He ends up being able to make it for Christmas Day when Jake flies to his base in Greenland and melts the ice off the runway.
