Basic Trope: Exactly What It Says on the Tin

  • Straight: Beatrice Bigger is a fifty-foot tall woman.
  • Exaggerated:
    • Colossal Christine is so big she looms above skyscrapers.
    • Mary Mountain is so big she towers over even Mount Everest.
    • Palutena Planet is so big she is as tall as the Earth is wide.
    • Galatea Galaxy is so big she can hold the galaxy in her hands
  • Downplayed: Tina Taller is a Statuesque Stunner who is a head to a chest taller than most men and women, but ultimately not freakishly enormous.
  • Justified:
    • Beatrice Bigger became this way as a result of a science experiment gone wrong, being a lab assistant to an Absent-Minded Professor who accidentally got zapped by his growth ray.
    • Colossal Christine is from a race of female giants.
    • Mary Mountain is a Sizeshifter superhero who can increase and decrease her height, with mountain-size being her maximum limit.
    • Palutena Planet came from a parallel universe where spatial dimensions and laws of physics are different enough such that she and her people can grow to planetary sizes without collapsing under their own weight.
    • Galatea Galaxy is a Physical Goddess whose proportions scales with her reality-bending power. Her mother Ceto Cosmos and grandmother Minerva Multiverse are even bigger.
  • Inverted: Ida Itzy is the Incredible Shrinking Woman
  • Gender Inverted: Mega Mark is a fifty-foot tall man.
  • Subverted: Supervillainess Hilda Humongous LOOKS like a Giant Woman, but it turned out to be a hologram she use to intimidate superheroes and civilians...
  • Double Subverted: ...Hilda Humongous however has technology and magic that allows her to go Giant Woman for real to battle authorities and vigilantes.
  • Parodied: ???
  • Zig Zagged: Gina Giga grew big as a result of a magic artifact. After a day of shenanigans at fifty-feet tall she managed to shrink back down using it, but went too small and is now size of a tick. HOWEVER, while at miniscule size she found that her carpet is home to an advanced microscopic civilization which at her size are no bigger than ants to her, and she seeks their help to grow bigger again...
  • Averted: At first, it looked like Lisa Large is planning to increase in size... but it turned out she was merely using her size-manipulating powers to make her house bigger for more living space.
  • Enforced: Giant Woman is a goldmine of fan-service for the comicbook company who own all those characters, among both male and even female readers alike. Because of this, many if not most of their female characters are giant, can grow giant, or have adventures involving sizeshifting at one point or another.
  • Lampshaded: "Is it me or is the city visited or attacked by a giant woman every other day? Not that I'm complaining, of course..."
  • Invoked: When a giant monster attacks, Beatrice Bigger asked her professor to use her growth ray on her again so she can fight it and save her city from destruction.
  • Exploited: ???
  • Defied: Every living and sentient being is shot at with a Shrink Ray. That includes giant women too.
  • Discussed: ???
  • Conversed: ???
  • Implied: ???
  • Deconstructed: Becoming a Giant Woman became a source of calamity and woe for Wanda World. The square-cube law led to problems such as starvation from not being able to get enough food for her size, injuries due to muscles and bones not built to support her mass and overheating as her metabolism isn't originally suited for her proportions. Her enormity led to considerable damage and deaths to the country she lived in from accidentally stepping on people and causing city-levelling earthquakes.
  • Reconstructed: Advanced cybernetics installed inside her body and physics-defying alien technologies (which caused her to grow big in the first place) allowed her to mitigate most of the biological and collateral issue caused by her size, allowing her to live a more normal existence despite her enormity.
  • Played For Laughs: Terra Titanica's transformation into a Giant Woman led to a day of inconvenience and embarrassment, such as having every men looked up her ripped skirts (and every women viewing her with jealousy), her hips getting stuck between buildings repeatedly, having difficulty finding clothes fit for her size, etc.. On the plus side, she gets to flatten her Alpha Bitch bully's car.
  • Played For Drama:
    • Terra Titanica's transformation into a Giant Woman led to her becoming attacked by authorities who thinks she's a monster and hunted by sinister forces who want to exploit her, while causing catastrophic damage and causing her friends and family to be endangered by both her destructiveness and also their association with her.
    • Alternatively, Terra's transformation into a Giant is permanent & irreversible. She now has to spend the rest of her life gigantic, which causes several further complications with how she lives. She has to eat literal tons of food, sleep in a barn, abandoned hangar, or other building with a lot of internal space, has a very limited wardrobe of clothes, all of which is expensive for her & the public to maintain.
