Basic Trope: The villain is taller than the hero.

  • Straight: Bob is a 5'9 ft. fighter, but Emperor Evulz is an 7.2 ft. tall person.
  • Exaggerated: Bob is a 5.9 foot fighter and the antagonist is a 8.2 foots tall and also had a Heavy Armor.
  • Downplayed:
    • Bob is just a little bit shorter than Evulz.
    • Emperor Evulz is an 6.3 ft. tall person, which gives him a tall and intimidating appearance but not much.
    • Bob's rival, Clay, is around 6'5", making him the tallest enforcer of Evulz' group (Evulz himself is around 5'11").
  • Justified:
    • Bob fights against a gigantic race, and he is just a human.
    • Evulz already didn't care about getting his food through honest means in his childhood, which left many (including Bob) malnourished.note
    • The dark power that strengthens Evulz also makes him taller.
  • Inverted: The Big Bad of the show is Mr. Small, he barely reaches the legs of Gentle Giant Bob.
  • Subverted: Bob can become bigger with the time.
  • Double Subverted: Bob becomes taller, but the villain also can do that to be even bigger.
  • Parodied:
    • Bob literally fights against mountains.
    • Evulz is one centimeter taller than Bob. He constantly taunts Bob about it.
    • In this universe, the taller you are, the more evil you are. This means that small children are Incorruptible Pure Pureness, while basketball players are Omnicidal Maniacs. And let's not even get started on people with gigantism...
  • Zig Zagged: Bob's size and the villains are dependent on the situation.
  • Averted:
    • Bob and the antagonist had the same size.
  • Enforced:
    • Bob can be OP if he is taller.
  • Lampshaded: "Oh, maybe the size It does not matter."
  • Exploited: Bob is mocked for his size.
    • Evulz is a Depraved Dwarf and so spins his battles as a courageous underdog up against a big bully.
  • Conversed: "Hey, Bob is so tiny compared to the antagonist, they can be even son and father."
  • Implied: Bob is a dwarf.
