Nightmare Fuel / Winter Troupe Digital Adventure

Spoilers Off applies to all Nightmare Fuel pages, so all spoilers are unmarked. You Have Been Warned!

  • The premise itself. Actors getting stuck in a world full of monsters because of three urban legends wanting to help them grow as people. While the urban legends grant them Elemental Powers and Spirit Evolution, everyone in Winter Troupe has zero experience in combat except Hisoka and Guy. Tasuku alleviates it somewhat with his fitness nut status, bringing him to Unskilled, but Strong territory.
  • Everything in Lava Cave.
    • Homare vs DeathMeramon. The fight was one-sided, with DeathMeramon breaking Agnimon's mask and causing the shards to puncture Homare's face, spitting molten metal at Homare's eye, and burning Homare's leg off-screen. To cap it all off, DeathMeramon threw Homare into a lava stream. This caused Homare to inhale and swallow lava, causing him massive pain from the inside all while the lava was also burning him outside. It was bad enough to force him to take risk with Beast Form, which was already hinted to be difficult to control. The only saving grace is Homare's elemental resistance to fire.
      • While Homare managed to save himself from A Molten Date with Death, he couldn't control his Beast Form. Whatever he did, his body moved by itself to kill DeathMeramon. He couldn't even talk; whenever he tried to, he ended up roaring.
    • Homare vs Guy. For all its awesomeness, it was brutal, tearjerking, and horrifying with all the implications.
      • Imagine your body moving by itself to kill everything in your sight, including your friends. And you couldn't stop the onslaught. That was Homare. He tried isolate himself to avoid that, but then Guy came.
      • It got worse when you remember that Homare's arc in the game was him lamenting his broken cyborg status. Now he wasn't just hurting his loved ones with his words and Lack of Empathy; he was physically hurting them, trying to kill them. And he was helplessly watching it.
      • It was even worse when a discussion started by Tsumugi revealed how the entire thing was a Vicious Cycle. Controlling Beast Form required a calm mind, but as concluded by Tsumugi and Guy, Homare was afraid of hurting his friends. That he couldn't do anything but watch as he decimated everything in his path caused him to panic. In short, the whole ordeal was caused and worsened by nothing but Homare's love for his friends.
      • The beatdown itself. Guy body-slammed Homare into the wall as Bolgmon, a Tank Goodness Thunder Beetle. He ended the fight by blasting Homare to oblivion, which caused Homare's heart to stop.
      • Homare's injuries are nasty in more ways than one. Spirit Evolution drains its user. Physically strong characters like Tasuku and Guy aren't affected much, but the first time Homare evolved, he collapsed after reverting. Now he was seriously injured, having received a CPR to restart his heart. And these injuries forced him to revert. Guy also noted something about brain damage. It had often been mentioned about how much pain Homare would be when he woke up, and made even worse by the fact that unlike Guy and Hisoka, Homare had never, ever entered physical combat in his life.
      • The CPR itself broke Homare's ribs in the process.
  • Although it sets its limit, Blikmon's monitoring ability is creepy. It can see and even hear everything in the Digital World. The only thing it can't is whatever is in Mount Infinity.
  • Mount Panorama's status as a literal Death Mountain came from (Death)Meramon's attempts to destroy the Digital World by causing activities in Lava Cave. Earthquakes and landslides happened frequently in the mountain. Unimon upheld Safety in Indifference philosophy because of the disasters, fearing that they would someday kill either it or Plotmon. Plotmon was implied to have been killed in the disasters.
  • Homare had a nightmare of being in Lava Cave again, as Vritramon. He found a dying Guy on his way and blasted him to dust, all while he watched in sheer horror, unable to stop Vritramon's rampage.
  • HerakleKabuterimon curbstomping Archnemon is fun and all, but keep in mind that HerakleKabuterimon gored poor Archnemon with its horn to the point that it spat out data.
  • Devidramon managed to hypnotize Tsumugi and sparked a mental image of him getting decapitated by Musyamon.
