"And behold, from their perch atop New York City, the Krang ripped open the sky itself. What came out was terror, and what rained down upon us was worse than death." note

From the show that brought you a horrifying new Shredder, the movie is no slouch when it comes to the horror of the Krang.

  • The Krang are certainly no joke in this movie, getting hit with the Knight of Cerebus shtick real hard: They're incredibly powerful alien Warlords who go from planet to planet and assimilate it. And yes, while that's no different from their iterations before, it still doesn't change the fact they're so much stronger than they've ever been, even surpassing the Shredder, who in Rise was even more terrifyingly powerful than any other incarnation.
    • The Body Horror they inflict on the Foot Clan in the beginning is pretty damn brutal, with growing mouths and eyes, inhuman anatomy, and becoming some form of hideous purple aliens.
  • Barely a minute and a half into the movie, when we see the battlefield after Mikey makes his entrance, the ground is absolutely full of skulls and bodies. What's worse, one of them is recognizable—Big Mama's yokai form, lifted on a pike and on display.
  • Then there's the sheer terrifying POWER the Krang are boasting about as well. Krang One alone managed to match all of the Turtles, Splinter, and Casey in combat, before eventually sealing away all of the Turtles' mystical powers as they proceed to call upon Krang Two and Three. The three then completely wipe out the team and forcing them to escape. And when Leo stays behind to try to grab the key to deactivate the portal, he would have gotten skewered if it weren't for Raph Taking the Bullet for him so he could escape. And this was all without any of them wearing their signature exosuits.
  • Poor Raph goes through it big time here. When the Krang kidnap him, he's naturally defiant and refuses to give any information to them... until Krang One probes his brain and takes the location of the Key, and it's visibly quite painful and distressing for the poor guy.
  • When April throws the herbicide into Krang Two's face as a last desperate measure, it destroys her eye, leaving a hole that goes straight through her head. And all it does is make her mad...
  • Once the Technodrome arrives, the Krang's takeover of New York City has begun. With their Meat Moss spreading all over the city, and unholy Krang-infused human tech attacking human civilians and soldiers, it's a horrific sight seeing the Krang on the verge of rendering the world to a state just like the Bad Future Casey escaped from. The military even tries to fight back, but their efforts are for naught as they're quickly taken down as well. There's even a perspective shot of one of the soldiers trying to shoot down enemy Krang before being consumed by a terrifiyng giant Krang-possessed helicopter.
  • Remember how the Krang weren't wearing their exosuits when they first fought the Turtles into retreating? Well in the film's climax, all three of them don them, now sporting much more dangerous and fearsome designs in comparison to any Krang exosuit in series prior. And unlike any of the Krang, these exosuits allow them to put up a terrifying fight that none of the heroes are able to face head-on. Donatello and Michelangelo had to rely on turning the Technodrome against Krang Three, and Casey, April, and Splinter had to drop an entire building on Krang Two to take her out, and it wasn't even enough to knock her out or kill her as she still survived it.
    • And as for Krang One? He becomes an outright Invincible Villain in his fight against all four Turtles. Even with all of them having reunlocked their mystic powers and more in sync than ever before, even when they throw eveything they could at him (In particular a literal building, and an updated version of the mighty Mystic Hot Soup Hibernator). He plows through all of their efforts without a scratch, with the Combination Attack being countered by merely flicking at them, before he proceeds to send Donnie and Mikey flying to what could have been their deaths had Raphael not saved them. It's no wonder Leonardo had to resort to a Hold the Line Heroic Sacrifice to trap Krang One back in the prison dimension. And when Leo does do it? Krang One subjects him to a brutal rage-induced No-Holds-Barred Beatdown, nearly killing him in the process. And for reference, throughout the fight, nearly all of of Krang One's direct hits on Leo outright caused him to spit up blood. If the others hadn't gotten Leo out of there in time, it's very likely Krang One would have slaughtered him without a problem.
      • It's much worse than that. As Krang One states, now that he and Leonardo are trapped in an empty dimension, the turtle is the only target for Krang's wrath. Death would be a mercy compared to what Krang was planning on inflicting on Leo.
