  • Chapter 1:
    • Despite having just arrived in Remnant and not knowing anything about the new world they’re in, the students of Class 1-A and their teachers immediately befriend Gale, with Izuku being the first to make contact with her, the young Faunus girl reminding her of Eri. Even Bakugo ends up taking a liking to her, finding the nicknames she gives his classmates and teachers to be funny, and elated that she calls him by his original Hero name choice, King Explosion Murder. And when the Grimm start attacking them, they all stand quickly to protect Gale.
    • Bakugo is enraged when he starts fighting the Grimm as they seriously injured Koda before he could act.
    • At first Kaminari is scared out of his mind when the Grimm begin their attack, but the minute a Beowolf is about to attack Kyoka, he immediately collects his nerves and lets the monster have it.
  • Chapter 2:
    • Despite meeting on the battlefield against a herd of Grimm, several students are fast to make friends with the members of Teams RWBY and JNPR, such as Kirishima and Yang, Momo and Jaune, Nora and Kaminari, and of course, Ruby and Izuku.
  • Chapter 3:
    • While he is annoyed that Izuku and Bakugo hurt themselves further to finish off the elder Grimm, Aizawa is inwardly proud that they managed to survive and win the fight.
    • Realizing that the students of Class 1-A will likely be on Remnant for quite some time and will have trouble adapting to the new world they’re on, Teams RWBY and JNPR decide to help them adjust however they can.
    • During the meeting between UA’s and Beacon’s teachers, the subject of what will happen to Gale is brought up. When the possibility of an orphanage is voiced by Glynda, Ozpin decides to give her sanctuary at Beacon, as she has already made connections with the 1-A students, and they could help her control her power.
      • Which leads to Ozpin offering All Might, Aizawa, and their students a place to stay at Beacon. While both teachers still don’t know much, they do appreciate the offer, and make it clear that most of their concerns are centered around their students’ safety, which Aizawa states is their job and duty.
    • Ochaco keeping Izuku company in his hospital room, sleeping in a chair next to him. Izuku’s thoughts as he drifts back to sleep are how lucky he is to have a friend like her.
    • After Bakugo wakes up from his surgery, Kirishima is the first person to greet him, knowing that he’s the only person that the explosive teen will tolerate in his current condition. And despite his injuries and temper, he merely growls anything he says instead of yelling like he would to most students.
    • Now in a better environment that isn’t plagued with Grimm, the students of UA and Beacon finally have proper introductions with Tenya thanking RWBY and JNPR for helping them.
    • When the Beacon students are left wondering why Izuku is all right with Ochaco calling him “Deku” (good-for-nothing), Izuku explains that he made it his hero name after Ochaco helped him redefine it at UA, as it sounds similar to Dekiru (One that can do anything). It’s enough to calm down the Huntsmen teams, with Ruby being moved at the idea of using a name meant to bring one down as way to build themselves up.
    • After the 1-A students explain to Blake how some Quirks cause mutations to make them similar to Faunus, she apologizes if her question made any of them uncomfortable. Izuku, Tsuyu and Tokoyami are quick to assure her otherwise.
    • When the 1-A students are offered a chance to get Aura after All Might and Aizawa get theirs, Izuku is the first to immediately accept, seeing it as a chance to help others further. All Might and Aizawa are both unsurprised, with the former showing pride in his successor. Koda is then the next to accept it, stating that even if he’s afraid of the Grimm, he’ll work to overcome that fear to be a hero. Though Aizawa doesn’t show it, he’s proud to see his students willing to accept it.
    • Upon being brought into the Vestige Realm with Izuku and witnessing the day All for One gave his brother the stockpiling Quirk, Ozpin promises that he won’t tell anyone what he saw, and offers to make himself available to Izuku if he wishes to explain things.
  • Chapter 4:
    • As part of their help in getting Class 1-A adjusted to life on Remnant, they buy supplies for them such as clothes, Scrolls, and in Izuku’s case, notebooks. Some of the stuff is even ordered special for those with mutation-type Quirks, such as Shoji and Ojiro.
    • Before leaving the hospital, the students go to visit Gale in her hospital room, who reveals that she drew pictures of their fight with the Grimm. Bakugo even accepts one of him throwing Izuku at the Elder Grimm, justifying it as it being his first piece of fan mail as a major hero.
    • Teams RWBY and JNPR bond with Gale as well, accepting the drawings she made of them. This includes Weiss, who, due to the fic taking place during Volume 1, currently has mixed feelings of Faunus because of the White Fang.
    • The flight to Beacon has more bonding between the students, with Ruby showing Izuku and All Might her old school Signal, Weiss talking with Tenya about Hero agencies, Yang and Kaminari bonding over their love for puns, and Momo making paper bags to help Jaune with his motion sickness.
    • Mina and the other girls in 1-A hit it off well with Coco upon meeting Team CFVY, Mina in particular liking Coco’s clothes.
    • After Team MOAT is formed, Izuku decides to appoint Tsuyu as second-in-command. Ochaco and Tokoyami both support the decision, citing her reliability, intelligence and calm personality as the reasons why she’s the best choice, which she accepts.
    • Izuku immediately bonds with Jaune over their love of heroes, having a long discussion that Ruby also joins in.
  • Chapter 5:
    • As part of Class 1-A’s first Combat Class, Cardin chooses Mineta as his opponent so he can get an easy win. Mineta is terrified at first, but Jaune and Tsuyu are quick to assure him that he can handle Cardin.
    • Pyrrha and Momo’s fight is one of good sportsmanship, with the two girls wishing each other luck. After the fight ends, Pyrrha thanks Momo for giving her a difficult fight. Likewise, Momo isn’t disappointed with the loss, seeing it as way of learning much from Pyrrha.
    • After his fight with Yang ends in a draw, Bakugo talks with her in the locker room, recognizing her talent and combat sense, and in his own way, encouraging her to train hard so she can come at him with the intent to win in a rematch. He even calls her by her last name as he leaves.
  • Chapter 6:
    • In addition to RWBY and JNPR, Team CFVY also bond with Class 1-A, being one of the few Huntsmen teams at Beacon to bond with them. Izuku even talks about Mirko with Velvet as a way to cheer her up when she’s feeling down.
    • Kaminari suggests to Kyoka that she make her Huntsman weapon an electric guitar with an axe. Despite her initial hesitations, Mulberry encourages her as well, noting that a weapon should be an extension of the wielder. The encouragement from the two, as well as recalling the support her father gave her when she chose to become a hero, convinces Kyoka to give it a shot.
    • During Jaune and Blake’s brainstorming with Team MMAT over making weapons, the latter offers to teach Hagakure stealth techniques and make an outfit of camouflage clothing, giving the girl a chance to have a real costume without being naked all the time. The invisible girl responds with hugging Blake and crying in happiness.
    • When Tsuyu tells how uncomfortable she feels about using a weapon, Ruby and Pyrrha comfort her and understand how she feels, with Ochaco and Tokoyami suggesting that she could use a diving knife, seeing it as simple and practical, with Tsu happily accepts.
    • After Ruby makes a comment about turning rescue equipment into weapons to kill Grimm, Izuku realizes the possibility of turning a regular tool into a weapon for use, and pitches the idea to Ochaco of using a fire axe as her own weapon to fit in with her image of a Rescue Hero. Ruby even offers to help with building it, which Ochaco accepts. In turn, Ruby accepts Ochaco’s offer to teach her unarmed combat.
    • The end of the chapter reveals who Ozpin chose to be Gale’s guardian: Taiyang Xiao Long, who he trusts with watching over her and thinking about her needs.
  • Chapter 7:
    • The chapter starts with Class 1-A having a series of training sessions with Teams RWBY and JNPR, the students swapping ideas and fighting styles with each other as ways of improving.
    • Upon learning that Kirishima was mostly self-taught in fighting, Yang offers to take him under her wing as “Sensei Yang”, which the red-haired boy accepts.
    • When Mineta mentions the intervention 1-A arranged to make him stop trying to perv on Teams RWBY and JNPR, Blake takes the time to gently explain to him why his behavior is frowned upon, having realized that no one took the actual time to sit down with him and talk with him about it. Mineta takes her explanation in stride and thanks her for it.
    • When Zwei shows up, Mina gushes over him, and Ruby and Yang rush to fuss over him, just as Gale and Taiyang arrive.
      • Ruby and Yang are happy to see their dad and Zwei again, while Class A are excited to see Gale out of the hospital and staying at Beacon.
    • Class 1-A is introduced to William Wyndglade, Lance Whitewater and Leif Gravell, veteran Huntsmen who are a team known as WLLW, with their fourth member, Wanda, having passed away. Despite losing their teammate, the trio continue using their old team name in honor of her.
    • When Class 1-A goes on their first patrol with Huntsmen, most of their teams perform interact with the people of Vale, offering to help with everyday problems or simply answer questions and pose for photos, showing that being a hero is more than just crime-fighting.
      • During Team MMAT’s patrol with William, Momo makes a spare tire for a man after noticing him fussing over a flat tire on his car.
      • Team STRM’s patrol with Lance sees Shoto demonstrate his Quirk to children, Mineta telling a watered-down version of the USJ incident, and Sato talking about sweets with a baker.
      • Koda saving an old lady’s cat from a tree during Team MJKK’s patrol with Leif, with the lady praising Koda’s Quirk.
    • Kyoka scares off a couple of bigots with a piercing glare after hearing them badmouth her classmates and Faunus.
    • Before it goes downward with Bakugo’s attitude, Mina and Velvet have fun when patrolling the docks, happily answering questions to any people, and taking pictures of themselves and their teammates.
    • Yatsuhashi immediately stands up for Velvet after Bakugo’s habit of giving appearance-based nicknames hurts her. Then when Bakugo calls Ashido “Raccoon-Eyes”, Velvet immediately chews him out for insulting his teammate, with Yatsuhashi demanding that he apologizes.
    • As Oobleck gathers the 1-A students, RWBY and JNPR for a history lesson on Faunus, he takes a quick stop at Team CFVY’s table to offer Velvet a chance to talk over her feelings regarding Bakugo’s comments once he has free time.
  • Chapter 8:
    • Ruby and Weiss present the finished Apollo to Ochako, who jumps to hug both girls in thanks.
    • Ruby invites Team MOAT to join her and her team to visit Vale.
    • In a private talk, Shoto gently advises Weiss not to let her bitterness overwhelm her dream to be a Hunttress. He even reveals his own past to her, something he hasn't done with anyone except with Izuku, and Weiss actually takes his words to heart. She goes on to reconcile with Blake and the others.
Shoto: I don't know what you're looking to achieve as a Huntress. But I know what I want to say. What I wish someone had told me, earlier in life; Look carefully at what you want to be. Remember why you started down this path, where you came from, and what you want to become.
      • She asks him why he's helping her, and Shoto cites two reasons: for one, he recognized the look of resentment in her eyes as the same one he used to have, and for another, a friend (Izuku) told him once that meddling even when you don't need to is the essence of being a hero.
  • Chapter 9:
    • When Tsuyu tearfully explains to Blake how conflicted she feels about the latter's former affiliation with the White Fang, Blake reassures her it's okay to believe in following the rules, though it shouldn't stop one from speaking up against injustice. She also says she wishes there had been more like Tsuyu around back when she had been in the White Fang to keep them on the right path. At the end of their talk, the two's friendship remains intact.
  • Chapter 11:
    • Blake doesn't hesitate to push Weiss out of the way of Adam's attack.
    • Weiss is mentioned as being holding onto Blake's hand and not letting go, scared of how close she was to losing her teammate after she saved her from Adam's attempt to kill her.
  • Special Extra Features Part 1:
    • During Team MOAT's patrol with Coco, Fox, Ruby, and Weiss, they find a man dumping garbage to a children's playground and arrest him. Izuku mentions how he cleaned up Dagobah Beach during his training, and suggests doing the same with the playground. The others are all in with the idea, and quickly begin to get the garbage out - with several of the neighbors pitching in after watching them work for some time. In two hours, not only is the playground clean, some of the facilities like the swings have been repaired, allowing it to be used again.
    • During the conceptual song for Chapter 11 (where Izuku discovers he can use the Vestiges' Quirks and his Semblance, while Ruby fights Torchwick along with Penny), both Izuku and Ruby sing to All Might and Summer Rose, their idols, about how they are their inspiration to overcome their doubts and achieve their dreams to become heroes like them.

  • Chapter 13:
    • All Might and Aizawa are now assisting Beacon's teachers in their lessons and even offering new ideas, and there's not a single implication that the latter have any real issues with their new colleagues.
      • In Port's class, All Might jots down key points of Port's tall tales and other important details on the blackboard, Weiss musing how All Might makes effort not to undermine his fellow teacher.
      • Aizawa and Goodwitch discuss teaching methods in advance, showing mutual respect for the other's ideas and acknowledging their arguments.
    • During his lessons, Aizawa notes in his internal evaluation of Blake that he'd consider taking her under his wing, even while taking her White Fang connections into account. Considering his high standards and antisocial nature, this is quite an accomplishment for Blake.
  • Chapter 14:
    • Aoyama cries in happiness when Gale nicknames him "Captain Sparkle-Sparkle".
    • Penny tells Pietro that she heard about Izuku's Quirk and Semblance, but kept it out of her report to Ironwood because she felt she couldn't reveal someone else's secret when Ruby hasn't told anyone about Penny being a Robot Girl. Pietro tells her he's very proud of her.
      • Pietro then requests Ironwood to allow Penny to meet with Teams RWBY, JNPR, and MOAT, arguing that she needs to interact with people she considers friends, and Winter concurs with Pietro.
    • The others congratulating Sato upon their discovery of his Semblance, which allows him to put Aura into food that recharges the Aura of the one eating it.

Weiss decides to repay the favor he made for her in Chapter 8 by fighting him and revealing her own Dark and Troubled Past. Combined with the efforts of his friends and teammates, it allows him to not only come to terms with it, but also unlock his Semblance, which grants him greater cryokinesis and pyrokinesis.
      • The first thing he does with his Semblance: instinctively create a large statue of his mother protecting him. Even though he spent about a decade without seeing her, and the incident where she gave him his scar, Rei Todoroki is still the person he thinks of as his protector.
      • After the fight, Shoto thanks everyone for helping him, particularly Weiss - whom he tells she can call him Shoto. Weiss blushes as Shoto smiles at her.
    • A small one comes from Mercury, who sees and hears everything between the two, and actually relates with them, having grown up with an abusive father himself.
    • Meanwhile, Aizawa, who has been speaking with his students as part of his resolution to better help them, is kicking himself for not doing so with Shoto earlier. After Shoto and Weiss' fight, he brings him to the teachers' lounge and speaks with him.
  • Chapter 16:
    • Pyrrha and Momo have a talk in a tea shop, where they bring up their feelings for Jaune. Both of them act maturely and gracefully, acknowledging said feelings without turning into Clingy Jealous Girls, and Momo even states she won't stand between Pyrrha and Jaune, silently adding that she'd rather part as friends when the time comes to return to Earth.
      • Just before, the waitress recognizes Momo as the one who made a wheel for her brother-in-law's car, thanking her for helping.
    • Meanwhile, the other girls are having a day out with Team CFVY, going on clothes shopping and having much fun on the way.

    • When the Beacon teams notice Koda's absence, they are clearly worried for him and ask whether he's alright.
    • Koda's internship is quite good as well, giving him a chance to prove his skills are useful and even getting the Pro Hero he's with to praise his skills.
    • In order to start helping him get out of his funk, Whitewater takes Koda into a mission to help deal with an injured bear. When they find her, surrounded by her cubs, Koda calms them down so they will let Ochako heal the mother.
    • When the Grimm attack, Koda manages to push through his fear with thoughts of protecting his friends and the bears - which unlocks his Semblance in the form of a six-foot tall Zwei.
    • Koda ends up using his Semblance to create an avatar of Yuwai, helping him deal with his longing for home.
  • Chapter 18:
    • While he was annoyed by their efforts, Sun and Aoyama trying to set up Ojiro and Hagakure was well-intentioned.
      • For that matter, Sun might be a little overenthusiastic, but he genuinely considers Ojiro a friend and wants to help him be acknowledged for his abilities. At the end of the chapter, Ojiro's narration refers to Sun as his "Tail Bro," showing it's a strong bond on both sides.
    • The lost puppy turns out to be the son of Matches' dog Scampi, so the chapter ends with the hope that they'll be reunited eventually.
  • Chapter 19:
    • Yes, he's crass and short-tempered as ever, but Bakugo takes his role as leader of Team BEAS/"Murder Justice Squad" seriously, keeping an eye on his teammates and accepting their mid-battle suggestions with only token grumbling. For example, he offers them help (in his own way, which Kirishima immediately picks up on):
Bakugo: Red Riot! I know you’re not in any real danger, Shitty Hair, but do you really need me to come over and help you out? Quit playing around, let’s win this already!
Kirishima: Nah, I got this! But thanks!
      Bakugo: Pinky! You dead?
Ashido: I’m good! In fact… I’m just getting started!
    • Gale calls Bakugo, "King," but she apparently also has his permission to call him "Kacchan." Let that sink in for a moment...
