Despite the horrifying and tragic moments that happen frequently within the manga, there are also heartwarming moments.
- Uruma's family caring about Shun is one of the best moments in the manga. Whenever Shun gets mistreated by his bullies, his family is always there to comfort him.
- Kakeru drawing a picture of Shun is just as heartwarming since the younger boy respects his brother a lot.
- Azuma falling in love with Shun Uruma ever since he saved her from an attacker definitely counts.
- Senkouji being friends with Uruma is also very heartwarming, especially when the former tries to make amends with the latter for his actions in the past. In addition, he saved a cat from getting hit by a truck. Until that was shockingly subverted for first-time readers as Senkouji is revealed to be an irredeemable monster without any regard for any form of life.
- Ushiro Yuuga saving Azuma from a man attempting to assault her... It would soon be subverted as it ironically shows us that Ushiro is just as bad as the man when it came to assaulting Karen and attacking Azuma...
- Uruma meeting up with and interacting with the Shirakawa siblings is one of the best moments in the manga, as it allows him to stop focusing on revenge for a majority of the time and to start focusing on forming friendships with those who care about him.
- His relationship with Shirakawa Kaname is an even better example. Not only does she care about him, but she has also revealed that she was always in love with him ever since they were in elementary school because she was the original target for the five bullies and Uruma met her on a rainy day after suffering from their torment and comforted her, leading to their friendship, but also making Uruma their next target. She’s consumed with the guilt of what he had to go through, but Uruma quickly forgave her, stating that it wasn’t even her fault. She admits she always loved him since the day they met but wants to hear his feelings of her Love Confession after the School Festival ends.
- Keep in mind, his parents died and his brother got put into a coma due to the severe injuries he got no thanks to the bullies, and it all started because said bullies wanted to punish Uruma for befriending Kaname, their original target, who eventually moved away after he was made their new target. Yet Uruma never held any grudges on her.
- His friendship with Shirakawa Jun is just as heartwarming since he not only respects Uruma, but he also ships him with Kaname. He even asks Uruma to take care of his sister when he's not around.
- The school festival for the most part.
- Kaname smiling at Uruma in gratitude for his vengeance when she suffered at Madoka’s hands, as Uruma smiling back at her in Chapter 46.
- Uruma's interactions with Anna while being disguised as a schoolgirl named Urushibara.
- Anzai Zenichi's forgiveness towards Uruma for his past crimes and his offering of his hand to Uruma to allow him to redeem himself. Too bad it would end in his death though...
- Kaname taking Uruma out on a date at an amusement park and arcade is this for the most part. Not only did she fully recover from her trauma, but they both great time together (albeit Uruma getting scared from the rides, but happy to be by Kaname’s side). Until she revealed that she hasn't recovered from the trauma to begin with, in which Uruma is concerned about her emotional well-being. This eventually leads to a Sex for Solace moment between the two.
- Uruma parting from his friends before setting out on his quest for revenge may count as well. Overlaps with TearJerker.
- Uruma greeting an awakened Kakeru for the first time in 4 years. Overlaps with Tear Jerker and Nightmare Fuel due tho his traumatic breakdown and Uruma trying to comfort him while swearing vengeance at Kyou for his little brother’s suffering.
- Uruma driving Kakeru around the hospital in his wheelchair. Until he has a freakout when he notices a car that looks similar to the one that led to their parents deaths and his severe injuries…
