Funny / Earth vs. the Spider

• The giant spider roars. Both funny and stupid.
  • While something similar was used in Them!, they were still unsure about whether ants made noise like that and the sound itself is chilling. Here it's... not.
• Then there's the scene where the local nincompoops decide to have a sock hop in the same gymnasium as the supposedly slain giant spider, only for their music to revive it. The stunned looks on their faces are hilarious. You half expect them to yell "Zoinks!" as they run for their lives.
  • It's also very amusing how the band very determinedly does not notice the giant spider waking up right in front of them. The piano player has his back to the crowd, the saxophone player is facing the piano player and never looks ahead, the drummer and the two guitar players do look around on occasion but don't notice the spider. The cello player also keeps his eyes closed the entire time, and keeps his eyes shut and continues playing even after everyone sees the spider and runs away screaming. It's not until Joe runs back to grab him that he finally opens his eyes and sees what all the fuss is about...
