Iron Heart
is an ongoing JoJo's Bizarre Adventure fanfiction created by NavyWave22. The story takes place in a completely different universe from the canon story, one in which the US joined the UK and became one nation.
Not to be confused with Iron Touch, another JJBA fanfiction. No relation to Ironheart.
This fic has examples of:
- Absurdly High-Stakes Game: Blue Cult's Stand, Don't Fear The Reaper, is able to trap people within a purgatory state and force them to play a game to escape. If they win, they will leave with any previous injury healed, if they lose, they will suffer a heart attack and die.
- Abusive Parents: Chester's family treated him badly after his mother died, going as far as his father trying to hit him when he unlocks his Stand.
- Action Girl: Both female cast members, Samantha Daylight and Emilia Strohiem, embody this trope.
- Annoying Younger Sibling: Chester's half brother, Alex, falls under this. Though, he goes from annoying to downright criminal when he attempts to murder Chester.
- Cain and Abel: Jonah's older brother, Richard, resents him for being adopted and doesn't consider him a true Joestar. This goes so far that he attempts to murder both Jonah and his father. And as mentioned before, Alex and Chester have a very similar relationship.
- Character Death: Not uncommon for the series in general, though this fic is surprising as it has one of the main characters die as early as Chapter 8
- Chess with Death: Replace Chess with a game of Yu-Gi-Oh! and you have Chester's fight against Blue Cult in Chapter 32.
- Cyborg: Hybrid Theory is described as being a mix between organic and mechanical.
- Epiphany Comeback: Emilia has one during her fight with the Sugar Babes.
- Evil Former Friend: Fozzy was one of the first people Chester met after running away and they became close friends. In the present, Fozzy is one of Mad Onna assassins and almost kills Chester.
- Ghost Train: The first enemy Stand, Crazy Train.
- Headbutting Heroes: Jonah and Chester during Chapter 17.
- Heroic Second Wind: Emilia has one in Chapter 26 during her fight with the Sugar Babes. It goes so far that she Evolves her stand into it's true form, Valkyrie.
- Leave No Survivors:
- Before his fight with Chester, Aaron Green kills everyone in the room except for Chester and Samantha.
- Alice Cooper kills multiple innocents during his fight against the team. Coincidentally, this was during a mission to kill the assassins Mad Onna hired that had been caught in order to stop them from revealing secrets.
- Meaningful Rename: After running away from his abusive family, Micheal Mathews changes his name to Chester Park.
- Musical Theme Naming: As a JoJo fanfiction,it shouldn't be surprising that abilities and characters are named after songs and bands.
- Some references include: Maroon 5's 'Maps' and 'She Will be Loved', Black Sabbath's 'Iron Man', Linkin Park's 'Hybrid Theory' and 'Meteora', German rock band 'Scorpions', Led Zeppelin's 'Immigrant Song' among many others.
- Mystical White Hair: Samantha gains this after using her Stand.
- Original Character: Each member of the cast is an OC created by NavyWave22.
- Plot-Mandated Friendship Failure: During Chapter 17, Chester and Jonah have a big argument and split up because of it. This almost leads to Chester's death at the hand of an assassin, but Jonah comes back and saves him.
- Power Dyes Your Hair: Whenever Samantha heals someone with She Will Be Loved, her hair turns grey.
- Purgatory and Limbo: During Chapters 31 and 32, Chester gets trapped in a purgatory-like place by Blue Cult, this area is also where Adam is before passing on.
- The Gunslinger: Gon Smith is a Stand user who speaks like a cowboy and has a literal gun as his Stand.
- The Boxing Episode: Chapter 30 is a boxing match between Angel and Jonah.
- The Rival: Angel Zeppeli to Jonah.
