Cute Little Hamsters
is a Super Danganronpa 2 fanfic by hinatatas. It chronicles the lives of the SDR2 cast in Hope's Peak Academy as they make their way through their various relationships. The story mainly focuses on the growing relationship between Tanaka and Sonia, while a jealous Souda looks on and makes plans to break them up with a very reluctant Hinata as his wingman.
The story features every member of the cast at one point or another and has an engaging plotline with plenty of Character Development as the story goes on. It also manages to take several different tones over the course of the fic, ranging from funny to sweet to serious, and pull them all off with gusto.

- Failure Is the Only Option: All of Souda's plans to get Sonia are destined for failure, and everyone but him is aware of it.
- Green-Eyed Monster: Souda has a serious case of this. Fortunately, he grows out of it.
- Heroic BSoD: Souda suffers this when he has to build a weapon for the Kuzuryuus.
- I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: Why Souda ultimately lets Sonia and Tanaka be.
- Jerkass: Souda is definitely this at the beginning of the story. He mellows out into a Jerk with a Heart of Gold later on.
- Mood Whiplash: Chapter 10 is pretty lighthearted and funny... then it ends with Kuzuryuu coming to collect on Souda's debt to him.
- My God, What Have I Done?:Souda's reaction after delivering a weapon of his own creation to the Kuzuryuu family.

- The Tease: Ibuki is a mild, playful example. Hanamura, on the other hand, is a much less charming version.
