Frederick Charles "Freddie" Jones (12 September 1927 - 9 July 2019) was an English character actor.
He played in numerous movie and TV productions, including Bishop Colenso in Zulu Dawn, Juggernaut in Juggernaut (1974), Mr. Warner in Pennies from Heaven, cruel freak show ringmaster Bytes in The Elephant Man, Mentat Master of Assassins Thufir Hawat in Dune (1984), Chester Cragwitch in Young Sherlock Holmes, Birdy in The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, and the Master-at-Arms in Doctor in Trouble. He also played Sandy Thomas on the British soap opera Emmerdale.
He fathered three children, including Toby Jones.
