Created by writer Robert Kanigher and artist Joe Kubert in 1955, the Viking Prince is a DC comics hero that debuted in The Brave and the Bold #1 in 1955.
The Viking Prince made a (posthumous) appearance in the Justice League episode "To Another Shore".

- Adaptation Name Change: Jon's father King Rikk was renamed Earl Rollo for the graphic novel "Viking Glory: The Viking Prince."
- Amnesiac Hero: Jon initially.
- Early-Installment Weirdness: The early stories had the Viking Prince as an amnesiac wanderer given the name of "Jon" after a legendary Viking Prince. Later stories did away with the amnesia made Jon his actual name.
