Chris Mclean, The Host With the Most

  • Hated by All: No one on the cast has a single good thing to say about him. Even Laila Ignis, his former boss, doesn't seem to have liked him that much.

  • Karma Houdini Warranty: After six seasons of treating his contestants like crap, as well as disregarding the producers' orders, Chris finally gets his comeuppance when he is fired on live TV during the second episode.

  • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: As in the previous season, Chris has no qualms about putting the contestants in mortal danger. In the first two episodes, Chris sinks the ship the new contestants are on and forces them to go through a dangerous, robot infested obstacle course.

  • Jerkass: Throughout chapter 2, he is incredibly obnoxious to the guest judges and the contestants. This behavior is personified in his often repeated quote through the episode, "I'm the host, I make the rules."

  • Sanity Slippage: After he is fired from his host position, he becomes increasingly unstable. This culminates in chapter 9, where he nearly blows up the island Scarlett-style.

  • Villainous Breakdown: See Sanity Slippage above.

Noah, the Brains of the Duo

Since his last appearance on Total Drama, the snarky and confident Noah was searching for a purpose. Surprisingly, spending your teenage years on a reality TV show doesn't look good on resumes or college applications. In an attempt to find his place, Noah made a series of appearances on reality competitions with his best friend Owen. Though Noah met many people from this experience, including girlfriend of five years Emma, Noah never won a prize. Then, Ms. Ignis contacted him with a business opportunity that changed his life forever. Five years later, he gets to take care of twenty-two hormone-riddled teenagers on an island. At least the pay's good

  • Characterization Marches On: By the time season 7 rolls around, Noah has become considerably more understanding, and has toned down his sarcasm. This is most likely due to his relationship with fiancé and eventual wife, Emma.

  • Deadpan Snarker: Though he has mellowed out, he still has his moments.

  • Little Guy, Big Buddy: The relationship he has with Owen.

  • Spotlight-Stealing Squad: Despite Owen and Noah being co-hosts, Noah tends to take charge in explaining and directing the challenges.

  • The Makeover: Once he takes over as host, he changes from his signature dark shorts and vest to a casual jeans and button-up.

Owen, the Heart of the Duo

After Total Drama, Owen didn't really know what to do. All he really cared about was hanging out with his friends. For a while, he and Noah were serial reality competitors, but for one reason or another the pair could never reach gold. Now, it's five years later, and Owen has another chance on reality TV - this time, as the host. Not only that, but on his favorite TV show with his favorite buddy?! What could go wrong?

  • Formerly Fat:

  • Kid-Appeal Character: Part of the reason Ms. Ignis chose him to host the show.

  • Nice Guy:

  • Odd Friendship: Him and Noah, of course. However, their chemistry has allowed them to weather multiple reality competitions and now, hosting a reality show.

  • The Big Guy: Downplayed. He is still large, but has lost significant weight since season 5.
