The Main Characters

    Ashlyn

Ashlyn Banner

The Main character.
  • Action Girl: She is both athletic and agile, which comes nifty in fights.
  • Fiery Red Head: She has a very aggressive personality, and bright orange hair.
  • Friendless Background: Up until the start of the story, Ashlyn has spent her entire sixteen years without a single friend.
  • The Leader: Unofficially this, though it is lampshaded in Episode 31.
    Aiden

Aiden Clark

  • Ambiguous Disorder: Probably autistic or ADHD. Aiden doesn't understand social cues and often comes off as creepy and invasive. He’s usually seen fidgeting with puzzles and Rubik's Cubes, and he overall doesn’t show much awareness of how others perceive him.
  • Creepy Good: While often disconcerting, he's still firmly a good person.
  • Manipulative Bastard: He comes to Ashlyn’s house uninvited, tells her parents that they’re friends, and even brings up the field trip Ashlyn is determined not to go on in front of them, so that way she’ll have to go. It’s implied he doesn’t mean to be malicious, and really just isn’t good at working with other people.
  • Perpetual Smiler: Throughout the Webtoon, Aiden is only shown not smiling once.
  • Unwitting Instigatorof Doom: Ashlyn was planning on skipping the field trip until Aiden intervened. She easily could have avoided getting cursed like everyone else if things had gone her way. Additionally, since the tour guide remarks about Ashlyn's connection to the other realm in particular and asks "—were the other kids supposed to be dragged into the rift too?" there's a good chance that if Ashlyn hadn't been on the trip, none of them would have been cursed.
     Ben

Ben Clark

  • The Big Guy: The tallest character.
  • The Medic: Ben is good with first-aid after having to patch up Aiden so many times in the past.
  • The Quiet One: He does not speak, and talks to the others via non-verbal communication.
  • Trauma Button: Being a victim of bullying himself, when Ben sees other people being bullied, it sends him into a violent rage.
    Taylor

Taylor Hernández

     Tyler

Tyler Hernández

  • Big Brother Instinct: He's very protective of his sister.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: When Logan is shown to be a bullying victim, though being disrespectful about it, he is right in saying that Logan should learn to stand up for himself.
  • Jerk Jock: Downplayed with Tyler. He plays baseball and has some anger issues, but isn't a bully. Later on, Ashlyn notes that he's become less of a jerk.
  • Promoted to Parent: He seems to have had to taken on this role as a kid after the twins' dad dies, and their mom is too grieved to care for them.
  • Skeptic No Longer: Tyler was an Agent Scully at first in Savannah, thinking the whole scene in the Sorrel-Weed house was fake, but quickly changed his mind once he was fighting for his life every night.
    Logan

Logan Fields

  • Adorkable: A very cute nerd.
  • Dork in a Sweater: His everyday attire is almost all sweaters.
  • Geek Physique: Physically the weakest of the team.
  • Nerd Glasses: The nerdiest of the group, and the only one who wears glasses.
