Allies of Protectors

     Jake Williams
Played By: Judah Bellamy

  • Honorary True Companion: Since Jake's not an official protector, he cannot join the girl trio full time and mainly serves as occasional support and an extra teammate. Although the girls still consider Jake one of them and will gladly allow him to tag along whenever he wants.
  • The One Guy: Any time he teams up with the either of the girl trios, he'll always serve the role of being the only male on the team.
  • Secret-Keeper: He finds out about the cookbook and its magic recipes in the fifth episode, and has been supporting the girls and aiding them with his support sense.
  • Token Black Friend: While Jake definitely has his own personality and personal life issues, a lot of those issues are centered around Kelly, Hannah, or Darbie... or all of them. Also, he happens to be black.
     Piper
     Arthur Morris
Hannah's teacher at Fox Canyon Magnet School, who's later revealed to have been a companion of the In-betweeners
     The Traveler

The Night Bandit (SPOILERS FOR SEASON 3)

The Quinn Family

Living

     In General
  • Locked Out of the Loop: Kelly's family has no idea that their daughter/older sister is a protector with a magic cookbook, and often has to solve mysteries around town with her close friends, or that magic even exists. Kelly's parents would often walk into the room, but Kelly would always hide the book and refuse to say anything about the book and its magic. Plus, Kelly doesn't trust Buddy enough to a Secret-Keeper as she knows how much of a troublemaker he is, and wouldn't take the magic very seriously.
     Terri Quinn
Played By: Catia Ojeda

The mother of Kelly and Buddy Quinn. Currently the mayor of Saffron Falls.

  • Good Parents: She's a very hard-working and loving mother to Kelly and Buddy.
  • Happily Married: Is in an excellent relationship with Scott Quinn and seems to appreciate raising two kids.
  • Mama Bear: During her mayor subplot in Season 2B, she initially wanted to run a fair, clean campaign to avoid her opponent's tactics, but when said opponent posts a harsh, propagandistic post about her daughter just get more votes, all bets are off, and she starts taking the election seriously.
     Scott Quinn
Played By: Andrew Burlinson

The father of Kelly and Buddy Quinn, and the son of Becky Quinn.

  • Dads Can't Cook: In the pilot episode, he tried cooking some chicken for a family dinner and accidentally burnt it.
  • Daddy's Girl: Mr. Quinn and Kelly have quite a bit of admiration for each other
  • Good Parents: He's a very hard-working and loving father to Kelly and Buddy.
  • Happily Married: Is in an excellent relationship with Terri Quinn and seems to appreciate raising two kids.
  • Nice Guy: He's not just a great husband and father, he's also a very nice man in general, as shown a couple of times. Noteworthy moments include him befriending Chuck Hankins after the latter saves his son Buddy from getting hit by a speeding car, appreciating his shared love of vintage rock, and sympathizing with Chuck after he explained that his family was no longer with him (and the passing of his mother). There's also him hosting Kelly's birthday and serving as a DJ.
  • Papa Wolf: He's surprisingly this towards his own mother Becky. When she got cursed and emotionless — he didn't know about the magic and thought she was sick — he would constantly stay by her side and find any possible way to help her out. This includes taking her to many specialists to trying and get her cured.
     Buddy Quinn
Played By: Aiden Lovekamp

Kelly Quinn's mischievous and troublesome younger brother.

  • Annoying Younger Sibling: He can be pretty destructive and a total handful at times.
  • The Unfavorite: He sees himself as this to his grandmother ever since Kelly got involved with the cookbook, which is pretty reasonable considering she spends a lot more time with her, and barely does too much with him anymore. This is even the main plot point of one episode.

Deceased

     Jim Quinn
The late father of Scott Quinn, and the paternal grandfather of Kelly and Buddy Quinn

The Parker-Kent Family

     Clayton Parker-Kent
  • Flat Character: He's got the least personality of the girls' fathers.
     Hailey Parker-Kent
Hannah Parker-Kent's older sister.

  • Big Sister Bully: During a few of her appearances she's shown to be pretty demanding. She once accused Hannah of stealing her noise-canceling headphones and threatened to destroy Hannah's childhood stuffed monkey useless her headphones were returned to her.
  • Cool Big Sis: Hailey doesn't show it a lot, but she does truly care about her Hannah's feelings. This is best shown in "Just Add Attention" when Hannah receives unwanted attention from the other kids at school simply for sneezing — which Hailey was also present for — and the Parker-Kent sisters have a pretty touching conversation in the hall.
Hailey: Hey. I saw what happened at lunch.
    Hannah: Just leave me alone.
Hailey: I'm not sure why everyone was staring at you.
Hannah: I am, but it doesn't matter. I'll be back to being invisible again tomorrow. Don't know what's worse. I hate this school. I never should have come here.
Hailey: Don't say that. When I first started here, I ate lunch alone for the first two months.
Hannah: What about your friend Bianca? You met her on the first day.
Hailey: Have you met a Bianca at this school?
    Hannah: Well... no.
Hailey: That's because I made her up so Mom wouldn't worry.
    Hannah: Really? You?
    Hailey: Hannah, I'm sorry.
Hannah: Why? You didn't do anything.
Hailey: Exactly. I'm your older sister. I should have realized how hard things have been for you. Come on. I have a shirt I can lend you.
Hannah: Thanks. I usually have an extra one, but I used it yesterday after a chem lab situation.
Hailey: ...but if you get a stain on it, I'll kill you.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: While she may get upset with Hannah a lot and is often pretty aloof towards her, she's shown that she is capable of connecting with her.
  • Jerkass to One: While she may be aloof and cold to Hannah, there's no implications she's like that to anyone else, and she's typical pretty friendly to characters aside from Hannah.

The O'Brien Family

    Patrick O'Brien
     Jenny O'Brien
     Amy

The Chua Family

     Erin Chua
  • Sheep in Sheep's Clothing: While she's introduced as the friendly new owner of Springtown Coffee after Mama P left and Jake's new boss, we're led to believe that she's secretly yet another Evil Chef (similar to Mama P and Noelle Jasper) who knows about magic and wants to cook something harmful, and Season 3's main villain. Nope, turns out the "Erin" making threats actually poisoned Kelly who was suffering the downsides of a magic spell, disguised as Erin. The real Erin really is the friendly open-minded Benevolent Boss she appears to be.
James Walters (SPOILERS FOR MYSTERY CITY)
     Nick Sellitti

The Hamilton Family

     In General
     Pierce Hamilton
     Lexi Hamilton
     Cody Hamilton
