Compacts

     Bureau des Circonstances Extraordinaires

  • Glory Days: Before World War II, France's "official" hunters were organized under Les Instituts des Études Paranormales. As an organization they were already well on the way to perfecting a form of magitek that would hold up for the era. Since the Fifth Republic, the BCE has sought out lost safehouses across former French colonies, looking for a way to return to the status of other conspiracies.
  • Kicked Upstairs: In prime French civil service tradition, several human individuals are kept on the payroll due to their connections to the paranormal community of France; a living descendant of the Parisian elder vampire (Who spends his time womanizing and watching TV), a relative of the leader of France's strongest werewolf pack (Who prefers sports to actual work), and the cousin of the leader of Paris' mages (Who at least means well, but is terminally incompetent).
  • Open Secret: While all hunter groups have their own internal secrets, the BCE secrets are known enough that they're part of their sub-faction sections.

     Delta Green

  • Ambiguous Situation: While options are given, no one is quite sure how Delta Green can exist simultaneously with Task Force: VALKYRIE if both exist in a game.
  • Cowboy Cop: Especially compared to other government hunters.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Much like their original incarnation, Delta Green hunters are more willing to risk civilian casualties than others.

     The Di Filipo Family

  • The Mafia
  • Pragmatic Villainy: While other hunters will kill, torture, study, and even surgically mutilate the monsters, the Outfit has taken a separate idea: Take them on as associates. Of course, only human Italians can rise above status three.
  • Totally Not a Criminal Front: In the fine tradition of Cosa Nostra, their current leader launders his money through various restaurants in Albany.

     Project: THOTH

  • Mundane Solution: Compared to monsters demanding human sacrifice and blood ritual, THOTH facilitates public health initiatives, infrastructure investment, and agricultural support.
  • Saving the World: As the group grew, they became more focused on accomplishing this in collaboration with other hunter organizations.
  • United Nations Is a Superpower: Averted hard with THOTH. The most they can do is alert other hunter groups to a threat, and assist in keeping the fallout in one area. Of course, there are rumors that they're planning for bigger things...

Conspiracies

    Aki Ten

  • Post-Modern Magik: Utilizing modern digital technology and virtual reality along with ancient shinto ritual, the Aki Ten have bound multiple spirits to their service.

     The Carpenters

  • Non-Action Guy: Much like their counterparts in the Office of the Lord Stewards, the Carpenters don't typically take action against threats unless said threats are particularly troublesome.
