** Fortunately, as the run of Crystal wore on, it began to [[GrowingTheBeard grow its own beard]] and start to distinguish itself from [[TwitchPlaysPokemonRed its predecessor.]] Interestingly, the fact that so many people kept trying to turn it into a rehash of TPP Red actually became a major theme in the lore, as the cast (including the aforementioned Pidgey) suffered identity crises due to being forced into the shadows of the TPP Red cast. One of the biggest shifts in the lore (and a big part of what helped Crystal set itself apart and become independent) occurred when the characters finally decide to seize their own destinies and make their own legends. Currently, some memes ''are'' still being recycled, but for the most part Crystal is now much more original.

* BaseBreaker: The change to the Anarchy/Democracy system. Democracy is initiated every hour, and Anarchy can be restored for another hour just by having it as the top-voted input. Good or bad, though, the change was inevitable; by the end of the previous stream, constant anarchy/democracy voting was overloading the chat more than anything else.
** Lord Helix and the other characters from the previous game themselves. One side is trying to force similar characters into this game, whilst the other side just wants to move on and introduce new characters. You can imagine the outrage when the former caught a Pidgey and declared it the second coming of Bird Jesus...
** The fact that the game has encountered wild Cyndaquil has caused some of the users to lose total interest in playing because the game is a Rom hack... well, further beyond what is necessary to simply play the game in this format, that is.

** King Leer the Lazorgator. One side loves having a crocodile that shoots lasers from its eyes; the other side believes that he has become overpowered and makes the game [[InvincibleHero boring]] as a result. They point to the moment in ''Twitch Plays Pokemon Red'' when Red lost his starter as the moment when the game started to become interesting. And on yet another side, there are those who love Lazorgator just fine but believe that relying on a single mon to win would come to bite them in the butt, which showed when they fought the Elite Four.

The tensions over Lazorgator boiled over during the Night of the 3rd Day, resulting in a spectacular shattering of the fanbase, a nearly hour-long war over the PC, and debate spilling into Reddit, 4Chan, and other chats dedicated to the stream. The stream's gotten 2 badges since this, but still spends hours in Pokemon Centers arguing over the fate of Lasor Gator.

** The 7 day timer caused a case of this, as some players wanted to deliberately delay progress so Red could win.

Added DiffLines:

*** Considering that the original games were supposed to have Red fight with [[OldSaveBonus whatever team the player used in RGBY]], having this hack accidentally brought that feature back.

* TheScrappy: By Day 4, the stream had lost tens of thousands of viewers over what it usually had during the first generation, to the point even some of the live updaters were losing interest and not updating any longer. Some people on {{Reddit}} and Website/FourChan blamed Lazorgator for being overleveled and hogging all the experience from the other team members, thus making the game too easy.

* FreudWasRight: Wade calls A.J. wherever his [[UnusualEuphemism Caterpie]] grows. The causality between these two events is still unclear. Will Wade call AJ when it eventually evolves into a rock hard Metapod?

* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: A more streamlined version of anarchy was experimented with, which took inputs for a half-second at a time and chose one at random. Democrats hated it because it replaced democracy, and Anarchists hated it because they thought it was too much like democracy. The old system was put back soon afterward, though this system is different from the one in Red and thus not very popular (see BaseBreaker).

* DudeNotFunny: Around Day 11 in Celadon City, a [[{{Troll}} bunch of people]] started spamming rape jokes ([[AndThatsTerrible which is bad]]), prompting many people to react this way.

* MemeticSexGod: AJ has been turned into this. Joey as well, but it's more of a joke with him.
** Burrito the Espeon, also known as "Sexpeon". This only increased when he learned Attract... [[AmbiguouslyGay then kept using it on males]].

Added DiffLines:

** At one point, the Mob wasted their Master Ball on a Goldeen. In ''[[VideoGame/SuperSmashBros Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U]]'', there's a chance a Master Ball will release a Goldeen instead of a Legendary Pokémon.

* FanDumb: The people who constantly insist that the stream lost viewers because of the Anarchy/Democracy system and that we need to get rid of Democracy altogether. While the chaos Anarchy brings about is fun, we would probably still be stuck in the [[ThatOneLevel Ecruteak City Gym]] without Democracy, remember?
** On the other hand, many of the best moments of the previous run were due to anarchy, yet the mob continously uses democracy to perform increasingly trivial tasks, eliminating the possibility of such moments happening and thus making the stream more boring.
** Also for Feraligatr. Feraligatr was constantly soaking up exp from the rest of the party by oneshotting everything due to being vastly overleveled and having a very strong moveset. The part of the mob which wanted to train the rest of the party or simply make the run slightly more interesting were satisfied when he was put in the PC until he was needed, allowing the rest of the party to grow. The Pro-Gator faction promptly fished him out with democracy shortly after he was deposited, shifting many of the moderates towards the "Kill Gator" faction (as they realised Gator wouldn't stay in the PC unless released for good) and [[NiceJobBreakingItHero triggering the wars for control that led to the release of Prince Omelette.]]
** Anyone who mentions they preferred Twitch Plays Pokemon Red, or voices an opinion that they prefer the game to be played in Anarchy, or that one was enough, will usually have numerous people jump down their throat.

* HateDumb: For Feraligatr. They have been multiple attempts by some of the mob to ''try to deliberately release him'', which has become the series' equivalent of murder, in [[ExecutiveMeddling an attempt put more popularity back in the stream]] by making it more difficult. Note also that Feraligatr is the only member of the party that knows Surf, which is necessary to progress. Their attempt to do so resulted in fan-favorite Prince Omelette being released, and thus [[NeverMyFault they claimed Lazorgator needed to be killed for releasing him]]. Even when Lazorgator was placed at the back of the party, allowing the rest of the team to level up easier, some people still want to see him released, and the mob have taken to calling them "[[VideoGame/PokemonBlackAndWhite Team Plasma]]".
** Fortunately, the aftermath of Prince Omelette's release seems to have made most of The Mob realize that even if we did try another attempt at boxing Lazorgator, it wouldn't be worth the potential casualties.
