** Tiber Septim, the founder of the Third Tamriellic Empire who ascended after his death as Talos, the Ninth Divine, could use the power of the Thu'um early in his campaigns. He used it to "shout down" the walls of Old Hroldan, which earned him much attention and acclaim. However, a failed assassination attempt left him with his throat slashed and unable to speak in more than whisper. He still completed his conquest of Tamriel (with the help of the Numidium at the end). He would, of course, also later ascend to Godhood.

If they fail to do so, they will return to their original form in an extremely weakened state.

** The Snow Elves had an uneasy truce with human Atmoran settlers in the early days of Skyrim. Then came the Night of Tears, in which the Snow Elves stormed an entire human city and slaughtered all but two people simply because they felt humans were an inferior race. The two survivors fled back to Atmora and later returned with an army of Five Hundred Companions, driving the Snow Elves from Atmora and creating a heavy anti-Elf sentiment in Skyrim that still persists thousands of years later.
** The Dunmer (Dark Elves) practice slavery, in particular, enslaving the Khajit and the Argonians, considering them to be lesser races. Playing as either of those races in VideoGame/TheElderScrollsOnline gives the player a first-hand account of how vile and cruel some Dunmer can be (and this is during a time in which slavery is technically "banned" as part of the Ebonhart Pact). In general, most of the most vile and heinous of these character wind up killed, humiliated or otherwise punished by the player.
** The High Elves and their government on Sommerset Isle, leans into ANaziByAnyOtherName heavy fascist ideologies:
*** The First Aldmeri Dominion was created as an attempt to spread Altmer (High Elf) leadership across Tamriel, and even though Queen Ayrenn forbade violence or other prejudice, the player continually stumbles across rogue Aldmeri who try to secretly slaughter, enslave or "reeducate" other races behind the leadership's back which (as one of Ayrenn's most trusted aides), it is your duty to eliminate.
*** The Thalmor are a faction of Altmer which not only believe in Elven supremacy, but their religious doctrine flat out demands the destruction of mankind and all their gods to escape the prison of mortal flesh and regain the Elves' ancient immortality. The Third Aldmeri Dominion was created by the Thalmor strictly to crush every other race in Tamriel, especially humans. In addition to genocide, they are known for their cruel and horrific use of torture on captives, to the degree that one former captive, Ulfric Stormcloak, develops an intense hatred of Elves and starts a civil war in Skyrim when the Empire and the High King refuse to stand against them.

* HatePlague: The series has long included the status effect "Frenzy", which can be achieved by spells in the Illusion school. This effect causes the target to attack anything in sight, including members of his own faction. The results are even better when the spell has a large area of effect, enabling you to turn entire groups against each other.

*** Dragon attacks can happen in cities and other settlements when you're looking to hit the inn for the night or shopping for supplies, often requiring you to drop what you're doing and deal with the threat. The larger cities like Whiterun are walled-off cells like in Oblivion so dragons cannot get in, but vampires in the Dawnguard expansion can spawn inside.
*** Inverted in the CivilWar storyline: the PlayerCharacter takes part in assaults on the opposing faction's major cities. The campaign starts at Whiterun with the PC either defending the city against the Stormcloaks or helping them capture it, and ends with an attack on the opposing faction's capital.

** The Aedra and the Daedra are typically viewed as opposites, particularly by mortals. Good and Evil. Order and Chaos. Light and Dark. Gods of Good and Gods of Evil. Angels and Demons. However, prior to the creation of Mundus, the mortal plane, there was no distinction made between these et'Ada ("original spirits"). The Aedra are simply the et'Ada who participated in creation (which is why their name means "our ancestors" in Old Aldmeris, while the Daedra ("not our ancestors") did not. This is why scholars and, in a few cases, the deities themselves, are quick to point out that these are beings truly AboveGoodAndEvil who operate on their own BlueAndOrangeMorality. Anyone trying to classify them as such is simply trying to apply mortal moralities to immortal beings, which is a foolhardy endeavor.
** Vivec, the Tribunal deity, clearly was never a big fan of the Dwemer. As one of Nerevar's councilors, Vivec believed that peace could not be had between the Chimer and Dwemer. He later urged Nerevar to make war on the Dwemer when evidence was brought forth that showed they were in possession of the Heart of Lorkhan and were attempting to tap into its power. However, Vivec would later draw his own divine powers from the Heart and the AGodAmI-type response he gives if you question his past actions is very similar to the one he attributes to the Dwemer Architect Kagrenac when Nerevar originally questioned him about the Heart in The Battle of Red Mountain:
----> Vivec: "Can you, mortal, presume to judge the actions and motives of a god?"
----> Kagrenac (per Vivec): "But Kagrenac took great offense, and asked whom Nerevar thought he was, that he might presume to judge the affairs of the Dwemer."

The Dark Brotherhood is an illegal assassin's guild (leaning closer to a PsychoForHire organization) which split off from the Morag Tong long ago. They practice a relative ReligionOfEvil, serving the "Dread Father" Sithis and his wife, the Night Mother, a mysterious entity who leads the Brotherhood and speaks through the Listener of the organization. According to some sources, the Night Mother may very well be an aspect of Mephala, meaning that both groups, despite their differences, are still dedicated to the same deity.

This is mostly speculation; with "Mannish wives" I think it's most likely meant that the male Bosmer tend to choose wives that are taller. Essentially a "gender role reversal."

* HyperspaceArsenal: The only real limit on what you can carry is your "Encumbrance" limit, determined by your Strength attribute (and Health in Skyrim). You can have an infinite number of items on your person (including numerous large weapons, sets of armor, thousands of arrows, enough food to feed an army, enough books to fill a library, gallons of potions, literally millions of gold coins, etc.) and none of it will show unless you specifically equip them. (Essentially, your inventory is a BagOfHolding minus the "Bag" itself.) As long as the combined weight of the items is below your Encumbrance limit, you can move around without issue. (And Skyrim changes the system so that you can't run while over-encumbered, but you can still walk. You can carry literally billions of tons of items and move, albeit it at a snail's pace.)

** A serious example are the Bound Weapon/Armor spells available throughout the series. Crossing over with SpontaneousWeaponCreation, the spell essentially uses magic to create a temporary SpectralWeaponCopy out of thin air. (The Bound item usually has no weight and shares its stats with Daedric level equipment, typically the most powerful generic crafting material available in the series.)
