* HairDecorations: Expected for the girls, but Raku himself always wears an "x" hairpin. The hair decs are featured prominently in the girls' "mini-sprites" in the manga (while Kosaki has her long strand of hair, and Ruri has her ponytail instead).

* ChainedHeat[=/=]ChainsOfLove: Chapter 70 had an explosive handcuff attached to both Raku and Tsugumi. It would explode if the pulse was too high. The two kept getting into heart pounding situations such as: Raku getting real close to Tsugumi in compromising positions, Tsugumi imagining a couple lifestyle with Raku 20 years in the future while still attached to the explosive handcuff, and Tsugumi [[SexySoakedShirt getting her shirt wet]] and Raku putting his jacket on her. It all leads up to them going to a secluded place where couples usually go to. After Tsugumi got her heat rate down she wonders why the gauge didn't go down as well. She then realized that Raku was nervous because of her which made her nervous as well causing the handcuffs to go off, luckily for both of them that the explosive were already removed and the cuffs were modified to release instead.

* TheBeard: Chitoge and Raku have to pretend to be a couple to prevent a gang war. Hilariously both Chitoge and Raku forget about it from time to time, causing a lot of hijinks and misunderstandings to occur as a result.

* BecomingTheMask: The main point of the series is to show Raku and Chitoge developing actual feelings for each other. [[spoiler: In chapter 49, Chitoge has realized that she is authentically in love with him.
