** ThreePlusTwo: The Gen IV Stadium Gods both joined during the Elite 4 runs
*** TheBigGuy: Bastiodon, Lord Armor. [[StoneWall A Defensive Tank]] that swept Karen's team in the winning E4 run
*** TagalongKid: Rampardos, Lord Skull. Consistently the lowest leveled, but after [[TimeToUnlockMoreTruePotential awakening his inner strength]] (evolving 30 levels late) it could even surpass the main heroes and the de facto BigBad Stalinking in power.
*** BigGood: Omastar, Lard Helix. Widely believed to be the reincarnated Lord Helix from TPP Red.
*** TheBigGuy / GentleGiant: Kenya the Groudon, special mention to the [[OlympusMons Pokemon embodiment of the land]] (or at least Africa) that's used to [[UnstoppableMailman deliver mail]]. Was released after the eight badge was obtained.
** RagtagBunchOfMisfits: Everyone else on rotation a few became fan favorites through the lore: Diamondback (Ekans), [[ReptilesAreAbhorrent a rattlesnake]] wearing diamond armor; [=SunSlash/CrabSlash=] (Sandslash), a porcupine that can [[WeatherControlMachine summon intense sunlight]] and might have crab pincers; [[AncientTradition Avatars of the Root, and Dome fossils]]; 3G (Larvitar), a tech whiz baby dinosaur; Hacker Cat (Skitty), a PlayfulHacker; Isaac (Jigglypuff), a dragon-slaying cream puff; and many more. What the ''hell''?

The tradition of reinterpreting the Gym Leaders has continued from [[LetsPlay/TwitchPlaysPokemonFireRed FireRed]]. Following a third change of ROM, the gym leaders now have type themes again.

* LegacyCharacter: Considering that this is the randomized version of the events of ''Crystal'', Blue could just be [[LetsPlay/TwitchPlaysPokemonFireRed Green]] working under a different name [[spoiler: if he hasn't committed suicide by ''[=HeartGold=]'']]. It could also explain away his [[TookALevelInBadass sudden competence boost]] in battle.

The protagonist of LetsPlay/TwitchPlaysPokemonFireRed. Three years after becoming Indigo League Champion, she now resides atop Mt. Silver. She uses Red's name for the battle.
