* AccidentalMisnaming: He mistakes Fire Tornado's name as "Fire Lemonade". In Episode 18 it's implied he may not be misnaming it, he actually wants to turn it into an actual Hissatsu technique since he was on the island. Ichihoshi, on the other hand, hides his affiliation with Disciples of Orion until Inazuma Japan finds out on their own and is more direct and willing to go along with his orders... Zhao Jinyun even got in trouble for not making him a starter in the first game, meaning the matter is out of ''his'' hands, but not out of Kidou who is on on him and plans on eliminating him and the other members of Inazuma Japan who know they can't trust him.

* ExpositoryHairstyleChange: In addition to his eyes, his hairstyle noticeably changes [[spoiler:after the reveal that he is actually Hikaru. The arrangement and shape of the spikes is different, with his hair being messier in his Mitsuru form. His bangs are also slightly different and Hikaru's hair is a bit shinier.]]
