* FreudianExcuse: PlayedForLaughs. Adell once tried make a DealWithTheDevil. A HornyDevil who wanted his soul and left the scars on his face when he refused to hand it over.

* AnAxeToGrind: Both figuratively and literally, as his stats and proficiencies favor axes.

At first, he assumes it must have been Etna, but upon meeting her, finds out she's nothing like the one who cursed him. He has an Evility called Fair and Square increases his damage by 30% when attacking an enemy one on one, and an innate S-ranked technique. In ''Disgaea 4'' he also gains an Evility called Hard Boiled Man that increases the damage of fire attacks by 20% which stacks with his previously mentioned Fair and Square.

* AuthorityInNameOnly: By the story proper. Zenon is considered an Overlord but in her paranoia wants nothing to do with any potentional servants, not since her servants in the past always betrayed her.

* CatchPhrase: Most of what Zenon says is variations on "Are you my enemy" or the more undirected "I am a being of solitude."

A rising film star Axel meets on the set of a movie he's in, she relinquishes her role to him because she's a fangirl and has always wanted to be in a movie with him. She's a Level 125 Great Wyrm, one of the most powerful monster classes in the game. Give her a good weapon and watch her deal thousands of points of damage with one attack.

* JackOfAllStats: All-around average weapon mastery ranging from D to B, and 100% aptitude in most stats with 120s and 130s in spellcasting stats. And as an Angel, he learns a combination of healing and offensive spells.

* MeaningfulName: Her Japanese name is "Rosalind", a name she shares with the heroine of ''Theatre/AsYouLikeIt''. Throughout much of the play, Rosalind spends much of the play under disguise as a man named Ganymede. [[spoiler:Much like Rosalind, Rozalin is also under disguise except that "Rozalin" is a "disguise" for the True Zenon]].

* MeaningfulName: Her Japanese name is "Rosalind", a name she shares with the heroine of ''Theatre/AsYouLikeIt''. Throughout much of the play, Rosalind spends much of the play under disguise as a man named Ganymede. * NotSoDifferent: There's several parallels between him and Adell. They specialize in the same weapons, both are HotBlooded, are devoted to their families, and cling to their respective ideals in the face of scorn and mockery. Axel goes along with what's expected of demons simply because that's what's expected of a Dark Hero. Axel even says at one point that he's adopted, though it's left vague as to whether it's true or not.

* ProperlyParanoid: Stays in hiding to avoid potentional challengers. Given that the moment word of his location is leaked, it's crawling with challengers, it's to see why he's so cautious.

* AuthorityInNameOnly: By the story proper. Zenon is considered an Overlord but in her paranio wants nothing to do with any potentional servants, not since her servants in the past always betrayed her.

* FreezeFrameBonus: Throughout Rozalin's dreams of Zenon, Zenon is always depicted shadowed out with their back to her, making it seem like they're a man with spiky hair and a cape like her "father". In the final dream, Zenon turns around but is obscured as the scene fades out. However, players who are able to quickly get a glimpse of Zenon ([[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/disgaea/images/8/81/Zenon2.png/revision/latest?cb=20121120232014&path-prefix=en or look through the game's sprites]]) will see that Zenon's silhouette resembles ''Rozalin'' with a cape, the "spiky hair" being her ponytail viewed from behind.

* HeroesPreferSwords: Averted. Adell is the only series protagonist to favor another weapon (fists) over swords. Swords are his second-best weapon, though. (Swords are, however, better weapons for using Adell's unique specials, which scale off of Adell's Attack stat instead of 50/50 Attack and Speed like Fist specials do.)

* FreudianExcuse: Constant challengers and being betrayed by everyone she met has left her paraniod to the point where she considers anyone she meets an enemy.

It especially shows with the Prism Rangers of all characters, where she expresses frustration that there's only five of them, happiness during their bonus stage that they finally have a full seven, and disappointment when Adell is given the title of Prism Black because she wants to be Prism Pink.

* ShroudedInMyth: Since Zenon kills anybody she meets, so nobody has any idea what she looks like, or that she is even a woman.
