* {{Expy}}: Of Asuka Langley Soryu from ''Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion''. A HotBlooded half-Japanese girl who pilots a red mecha with orange trim and has MommyIssues. Coincidently or not, [[ActorAllusion even her German voice actress is the same as Asuka's]]. [[spoiler:Compared to Asuka however, she [[EarnYourHapoyEnding actually achieves her goals and has a happy ending.]] ]]

** Kallen (tomboy) and C.C. (girly girl). In one Save-Quit intermission skit in Saisei-Hen, Kallen gives a farewell in a rough, crude. C.C proceeds to correct her and does it in a girly, cutsey manner, confusing Kallen in the process.

* {{Tsundere}}: The Harsh type; she's tempermental, HotBlooded, tough and badass on the outside but very sweet, caring for her loved ones and vulnerable on the inside.

* PoisonousFriend: He's ''really'' zealous in his purposes to the point where he does things Lelouch wouldn't approve of. Including, trying to [[MurderTheHypotenuse kill Lelouch's real sister]].
* PsychoSupporter: Looks cute, shy and sweet. Is an insecure, murderous wreck if his buttons are pushed.

* WhatMeasureIsAMook: [[spoiler:kills unnamed pilots during his HeroicSacrifice, but for some reason didn't use his already being spammed Geass to kill the [[KangarooCourt mutinying Black Knights]] or [[ManipulativeBastard Schneizel]] right before]].

A mysterious, snarky girl who makes a contract with Lelouch and grants him the power of Geass. In truth, C.C. an immortal witch who has lived for centuries, and has an apparent connection to Lelouch's fallen mother Marianne. She knows a lot more than she lets on, often muses on the nature of humanity due to her long lived nature, and remains at Lelouch's side as he plans to obliterate Britannia and change the world's order.

A [[DeadpanSnarker sarcastic]], green-haired girl first found inside an alleged 'poison gas bomb' that was stolen from Clovis by a [[LaResistance terrorist group]]. C.C. (pronounced "C2" -- or "[[GratuitousEnglish Shi-Tsu]]") grants the Geass power to Lelouch in exchange for him granting her greatest wish, and stays by his side to watch over him until the time Lelouch can fulfill his contract.

Throughout the series run, the majority of her past and her name both remain [[MysteriousWaif a mystery]]. Rumor has it that she's been living for many years dating back to the era of Kings, and ever since then she's been repeatedly [[ToThePain tortured or killed]] because of her powers (shot to the forehead, burned at the stake, put inside an Iron Maiden, etc.). This, coupled with the fact that she has had to endure seeing all her loved ones die as she [[WhoWantsToLiveForever remains behind for centures]], has led her to shut herself off from other people and her own emotions. [[DefrostingIceQueen Until she meets Lelouch.]]

Kallen is an outspoken half-Britannian, half-Japanese girl who is damn proud of her Japanese heritage and opposed to Britannia's hostile takeover of Japan. She has a [[DelicateAndSickly rather frail]] [[YamatoNadeshiko and gentle Japanese mother]], whom she kind of despised at first, but eventually decided to make her the reason for fighting after directly witnessing how much she suffered for Kallen's sake. She also attends Ashford Academy with Lelouch, playing the role of a mild-mannered, sickly girl to avoid suspicion of her involvement with the movement against Britannia. She also is [[MsFanservice rather attractive]].

Later, Kallen joins the Black Knights as the AcePilot of the Guren Nishiki and becomes a bodyguard or sorts to Zero. She's one tough and tsun-tsun girl, but in front of Zero, she [[{{Tsundere}} gets gushy and dere-dere]].

%%* ActionGirl: Oh yes.

The daughter of Emperor Charles and his consort Marianne, as well as Lelouch's younger sister. The messy death of her mother left her not only contained in a wheelchair but also blind out of the trauma of having her mom bleeding all over her and dying. She's shown as a sweet, gentle girl who attends Ashford Academy's middle school and serves as Lelouch's MoralityChain: she certainly doesn't know that her beloved and ''very'' overprotective big brother is willing to fulfill the promise of "making the world better before she can see" through bloodshed, ThePlan, and all that jazz.

This socially awkward, harmless-looking cute little boy is introduced at the beginning of ''R2''. After Lelouch and the Ashford students are given FakeMemories (courtesy of Emperor Charles's MagicalEye) that erase Nunnally's image from their minds, Rolo was sent to pose as Lelouch's younger brother in the Academy. A boy raised by V.V.'s Geass cult members and trained as a TykeBomb, Rolo is perfect to keep an eye on Lelouch and kill him if it's needed. Or is he?

* MaleGaze: Find a scene that doesn't pan over onto C.C's lovely rear-end at one point or another. We ''dare' you.

* MaleGaze: She gets this in conveniently provocative poses. For example, her frame uses a common layout for cockpits, but other characters' mounting position is rendered onscreen less completely.

* MsFanservice: The [[MaleGaze camera]] takes full advantage of pretty much every available opportunity to showcase Kallen's assets, including positioning the camera at an odd angle when she piloted mecha just to get a better view of her behind. Also, her clothing, but more than that, the ''[[ReluctantFanserviceGirl situations]]'' the series puts her in. She ends up in many FanserviceCostumes, such as PlayboyBunny, a ModestyTowel and a PimpedOutDress. She also [[BathingBeauty gets several scenes of her bathing]], which usually end up being {{interrupted|bath}}.

* GoOutWithASmile: [[spoiler: After his HeroicSacrifice, Lelouch finally kind of accept him as his brother, however begrudgingly, and letting him to have a peaceful death.]]

* SpannerInTheWorks: Though not as much as Suzaku, Rolo tends to screw over a lot of plans. [[spoiler:First when he kills Shirley, sending Lelouch on a RoaringRampageOfRevenge against the Geass Order instead of his original plan. Then when he interferes with the Black Knights betrayal, which saves Lelouch's life...and thus leads to Lelouch being able to stop the Ragnarok Connection through his HeroicSacrifice.]]

* {{Yandere}}: Becomes this in relation to Lelouch. He's obsessed with his "brother" and wants to kill Nunnally so he can be his only sibling. [[spoiler:When Shirley mentions reuniting Lelouch with Nunnally to him, she ends up a casualty instead.]]

* {{Determinator}}: She broke her father's geass with her own will to find the damocles. Doesn't get more determined than that, although she does break down later when it seems her brother doesn't care about her and takes it.
* DisabledMeansHelpless: Lelouch, and most of the rest of the cast, seem to think so. Subverted when she [[spoiler:breaks her father's Geass with her own willpower and fires ''multiple'' FLEIJA warheads in the final battle.]]

* KnifeNut: She always carries her trusty pouch knife.

* KnifeNut: His primary means of killing people outside of a Knightmare.

* CryCute: A cold-hearted, ManipulativeBitch like C.C. only cries with good reason... but when she does, the sheer warmth makes you wonder if you are looking at the same person.

* BikerBabe: Each incarnation of her Guren comes with a motorbike seat. And of course, her second pilot suit is evocative of a biking suit.

* VocalEvolution: Her voice in the first part of the series is much higher-pitched and monotone than is later on, though as she's deep in depression for most of her early appearances it stands to reason that she would sound less emotional.

* DelicateAndSickly:
** Unable to walk because of bullet injuries to her legs. Also suffers from psychosomatic blindness, evidently as a result of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. [[spoiler:It seems that way at first. But then it's said that the reason she never opens her eyes is because of her father's MindRape, which forced her to become blind as a result.]] In the end, [[spoiler:Nunners remains wheelchair-bound, but overcomes her blindness.]]

* WhatMeasureIsAMook: [[spoiler:kills unnamed pilots during his HeroicSacrifice, but [[WhatAnIdiot for some reason]] didn't use his already being spammed Geass to kill the [[KangarooCourt mutinying Black Knights]] or [[ManipulativeBastard Schneizel]] right before]].

* PantyShot: She has a few of these in ''Nightmare of Nunnally'', though not as many as Alice.

* RapunzelHair: Her hair is quite long, if she were to stand up it would likely reach down to her waist.

* DelicateAndSickly: She pretends to be sickly at school as part of her cover, so as not to attract suspicion.

* SuperReflexes: Kallen, being a combat mech pilot, has incredible reflexes, which tend to act up even when she is playing an IllGirl in school. In one episode, when Rivalz accidentally sends a champagne bottle cork right into her face, she notices it even before he does and deflects it with her hand.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Kallen is herself a mix of both types, which manifest themselves in her ActionGirl guise (tomboy - her true personality) and her IllGirl guise (girly girl), complete with different wardrobes and hairstyles. In addition, she finds herself in numberous other pairings, including:

** Milly (tomboy) and Kallen (IllGirl guise) (girly girl).

* {{Tsundere}}: Tempermental, HotBlooded, tough and badass on the outside but very sweet, caring for her loved ones and vulnerable on the inside. A textbook example of a Type 1 Tsundere.

** In the ''Nightmare of Nunnally'' manga, she plays girly girl to ExtraordinarilyEmpoweredGirl Alice's tomboy.

* WhoWearsShortShorts: Her first combat outfit, usually combined with thigh-high stockings or boots for a ZettaiRyouiki look. The second one instead goes for some SensualSpandex which Kallen occasionally tops off with the standard Black Knight leather jacket.

** In the sound episode Stage 0.521, it's revealed that, before the war, the Japanese considered an engagement between Nunnally and Suzaku's ''father'' Genbu Kururugi. When Suzaku protested and offered himself instead, his dad pointed out that he was already spoken for -- engaged to his cousin Kaguya Sumeragi. It is revealed that Lelouch somehow dissuaded Genbu from an engagement to Nunnally by making some kind of deal with him, but it's not revealed ''how''.

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: The Geass universe has quite different ethnic characteristics, with ''violet eyes'' common in the Britannian nobility, but even then C.C.'s green hair is unique though it is never commented on in-show. It's not a supernatural characteristic either, since she had the same hair color way back when she was just a normal girl.

* FieryRedhead: In keeping with standard anime coloring themes about [[LawOfChromaticSuperiority ace pilots and the color red]], Kallen has red hair, always has a red piloting suit (several different ones, ''all'' red) and pilots a Red mecha named the Guren (Crimson Lotus). Even the Bunny Girl fanservice moment early in R2 has her in a red bunny suit! But see YouGottaHaveBlueHair, below.

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Her hair color is often described as "red." And it is. Mostly. But it's not any shade of red that humans would grow naturally in RealLife. It's a bit pink -- but not as outlandishly pink as Euphie's hair.[[/folder]]
